The Milton Inn Hotel

This is a great place for a short stay. Food is simple but good quality and the portion size is very generous. Staff are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. Don't expect "posh" ,do expect a warm welcome.

Room looks nice, but the walls are thin. Cold shower, lady on the desk took payment for both room I'd booked before I had arrived, when I booked on the phone I was told it was a deposit in case I didn't turn up. I questioned this with the receptionist and she told me this was company policy. Not true as I stayed here two weeks ago, and paid for my room after my stay.

Closed at 10.00pm on a Saturday night because it was quiet, owner was not interested, very bizarre.

The owner is a horrible man, with money as his only motivation. Food is terrible, and drinks are warm.. and the price?! Shocking! Dont waste time with this one.

Excellent friendly staff, family run, good beers on tap.

The inn is on a very busy dual carriageway, with fairly constant road noise. The staff are friendly and the bedrooms are nice though. The room we stayed in had thin walls and you could clearly hear the other guests stomping and slamming doors at all hours!
