great place was back today and sitting in the varde was lovely lady that served was amazing really friendly and ni e to chat to x

Been here 3 times now, steak pie every time, partner has had fish a couple of times and Mac Cheese. Great value for money.

Great pub. Adam behind the bar is lovely and always has a smile. Only downfall and the reason for 4 stars not 5 is the ladies toilet. Yes one toilet with the seat hanging off and quite messy. No mirror. Is that because us Muirhead girls don't need to touch up perfection??? �� Won't put me off drinking there but would be nice to have the toilet done up to match the lovely bar xx

2 Fridays I’ve been in now, once with the missus, and once with a friend. The first time it was freezing. The second it was fine (both winters nights). Enjoyed both evenings, but feel as if the place lacks something.........it’s hard to put my finger on it. Perhaps the big space in the middle could be utilised as a stool area, considering there’s a supporting pole which could have a table attached, or perhaps a real fire to go with the character of the building? It’s just wee things, but it definitely needs something.
