Our first Dementia Cafe of the year will be very busy! We have Alzheimer's Scotland, Lanarkshire Carers Centre and internet safety and fraud advice from RBS! Come along and join in!

Our Conversation Cafe is on today, 10am - 2pm.
Pop in and have a chat with Alan about anything that's bothering you, ask questions or get information about Mental Health.

The NCT Centre relies on our lovely volunteers to keep us going!
As an NCT volunteer you will be able to take advantage of lots of opportunities for training and development, take part in fun events, give back to your community and be part of our amazing team!
We are looking for Volunteers in the following areas:
... Reception Events Group Support (Men's Shed, Walking Group, Activity Cafe, Toddlers Group, Dementia Project, Youth Group)
You can help out for as little as 2 hours per week and we can cover travel expenses. All volunteers get an induction and relevant training.

We have a Walking Group that leaves from the NCT Centre every Thursday at 11am!
The group is free and we take part in short 30min walks around the local area. It's a great way to get active and meet new people.

Thank you to Asda Newmains for their generation donation to our community groups. Our Sporting Memories group, MenŌĆÖs Shed and the illumin8 youth club will be stocked up for a long time.

New Dementia Friendly Activity!
As well as our monthly Dementia Drop in Cafe (starting back 12th February)
We will now be offering an additional monthly 'Sound Bites Cafe' starting 26th February.
... The Sound Bites Cafe is open to all and offers the chance to come along and join in some singing with company, music and dementia friendly support. You can also order from the Cafe menu if you fancy a bite to eat!
We would love you to join us for our first one on 26th February 1-3 pm!

Happy New Year!

Yesterday our seniors group had our Christmas dinner in the NCT .

What a wonderful afternoon we all had .

Our meal was enjoyed immensely by everyone.

The hall setting and tables were lovely.

The music provided by Stuart was excellent, lots of people dancing and looking very happy .



On behalf of Newmains Swels group , a big thank you to all the staff and volunteers who helped to make our afternoon a memorable occasion.

We visit the library regular and been to the hall for several things, it's a great centre. We used the hall recently for my daughter's birthday party and it was fantastic, from the staff to the facilities. Staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Our mothers funeral tea was held in the centre, on the 16th February. The whole experience was well organised by Lynn, her staff, and helpers. We had a lovely meal. Just what mum wanted. A huge thank you to you all.

Mother's Day lunch was excellent value. Also my grandson goes to the toddlers on a Friday all the kids loves this 9:45 till 11:15 with snack only 1.50 again excellent value hopefully another toddler day will be added keep up the good work .

Lovely building enjoyed the band night & Saturday party,staff&volunteers worked very hard on both occasions

Impressive building. Main hall is perfect size for music events etc..

I love the NCT Centre as it gives a good variety of groups u can join and also the staff are really great and couldnŌĆÖt wish for better people to work there. Also I enjoy working there to as it gives me confidence and experience and it shows well on C.Vs. Xxx

I attended my nieces 5th birthday party at the weekend and I can say that I will definitely be recommending the facilities to friends and family.

Lynn was very welcoming and helpful throughout.

I am a volunteer here great place to work in full of lovely customers and staff very clean and cosy wee cafe meals are so tasty and lots off variety of choice what you would like to eat or drink ’┐Į

Had a brillant night at the valentine dinner dance great meal and fab entertainment

Fantastic facilities and fantastic staff, had Antony's 5th birthday party at the NCT and nothing was any trouble. Food was great. Look no further for your next venue right on your doorstep, thanks to everyone for making the party such a success!

Came today with friends & the kids for lunch, food was great, cakes were amazing (fresh made)..staff were brilliant and friendly great with the kids’┐Į definitely be back for lunch’┐Į

Attended a friends daughters 5th birthday party on Sunday and couldn't have been more impressed. Facilities were excellent and hall was spotless. Lynn was amazing and so welcoming to everyone throughout the day. Will definitely be recommending this hall and will use it myself in the future. What a great day.

Arranging my daughters 5th Birthday Party in the new NCT Centre could not have been made simpler or less stressful.

The Staff were comprehensive and friendly in their approach to customer service from my initial enquiry about facilities right through to the day of the Party.

A special thanks to Lynn throughout and for setting up the hall on the day, ensuring everything I required was on hand; engaging with guests and making everyone feel welcome and aware of the facilities available.

Services above and beyond any other venue I have encountered for such events over the years.

The Centre itself was spotless and welcoming.
