The New Inn

About The New Inn

Since November 2011, the new owners Gary & Maxine Smith have been transforming The New Inn into a traditional village pub, where home cooked food, real ales and a friendly service are at the heart. Locals, visitors and dogs are all welcome!

It is our pleasure to serve a mix of locals, national & international visitors and regulars from near and far. Children are very welcome until 9pm in the lounge bar. We look forward to welcoming you all!

Drink. . .
We are passionate about Real Ale and we always have 4 and sometimes 5, different cask ales to choose from. We have an ever changing selection of Scottish Brewery ales and some from other parts of the UK and when we can, we do offer some small brewery Yorkshire ales which always prove very popular. We have a good selection of Malt Whisky, specialist Gins, Liqueurs, wine and a wide selection of bottled beer and cider.

Food. . .
The landlord Gary Smith, with a background in baking, offers traditional home cooked food from Tuesday to Sunday 12 noon until 2pm and dinner from 5pm until 8pm. Meals can be taken in the public bar where there are some cosy corners and comfy chairs or in the lounge bar which is perfect for relaxed dining or even just a quiet drink. There are wood burning stoves in both areas and in the winter months Gary sometimes offers soup or stew from a pot on the stove!

Accommodation. . .
Currently we have 2 double bedrooms with shared shower room facilities. The rooms are cutely compact but offer a good stopover option for workmen, fishermen and the discerning traveller. We also have a family room with 3 singles beds or a double and a single with shared shower facilities. All rooms are stocked with a tea & coffee tray (fresh milk is available) and a free view television.

Events & Functions. . .
Keep eye on the facebook page for news about upcoming events! We occasionally host a jamming session for a group of local musicians, so when you pop in next you may be in for a treat!

We cater for a wide variety of events, from small get togethers to large functions.
