The hotel is a friendly place to stay. Food good .rooms are very good. Friendly staff and management could not do enough for you. Would recommend this hotel to any one

The Nithsdale Hotel is a little gem. Staff are welcoming, friendly and curtious. The rooms are spacious and clean. The meals are plentiful and tasty. The well stocked bar is warm and cosy. All in all not to be missed.

Spacious and quiet, food is average. One of the better pubs in the area to visit for food though

The staff are lovely, polite and friendly. We arrived around the time the restaurant was closing but they kindly still let us order and we enjoyed a tasty meal on the first night without feeling rushed. Breakfast was one of the nicest we have had in a hotel. The only down side was we were unable to get a suite and we're in a double room with a king size bed. Although they had provided us with an extra mattress for our son it wasn't ideal as the mattress blocked the toilet door.
