The Old School B&B

This place was fantastic, the room was huge and massive on suite. great hosts and breakfast magic. Would recommend to anyone.

This is a true gem. The comfort and accommodation afforded in this converted school is good enough to match any of the World's finest and biggest hotels at a mere fraction of the cost. Admittedly there is no gym, sauna or pool but you get tranquillity, huge skies, quaint Britishness and lots of warmth. The attention to detail in the conversion to a "mere" B&B is astonishing -you will need to return to see and marvel at it all. The food is plentiful, hot and made fresh to order. Your hosts are entertainingly honest and willing to ensure your stay is memorable for the right reasons. An oasis in a desert. Very very good indeed.

Well where to begin the old school house is absolutely fantastic the rooms are so spacious and well kept Liz and Mike are very welcoming breakfast is 100% and the evening meals equally the same there's sweets in your room and biscuits which is a nice gesture I'll deffo be coming again brilliant

Wonderful stay at The Old School, fantastic rooms, with sweeties!!! Liz is a very welcoming host and Mike is a first class cook. The toy wall is fun, lots of things to see, chalkboards to write on and even a Dunces cap! It was lovely to come back from a days walking to a comfy chair and a wood burning stove. So good that before I left I'd booked another stay. Oh! and ask to feed the chickens :-)

Another excellent stay , to visit my only remaining Aunt, in Ayr.

This time her 102nd Birthday !!

I drive over 500 miles each way, in May and October, from Sunny Suffolk.

Not only is this hotel ( B&B) so very peaceful and quiet , the breakfast's cooked by Mike are pleasure to look forward to in the morning.

Both Liz and Mike are so friendly and there is absolutely nothing, they will not do for you .

On leaving on the Wednesday, there is no need to eat anything on the 500 mile journey back home..............

As have I said before, if you are going to visit Ayrshire, you will not be disappointed with The Old School.
