The Outward Bound Trust Loch Eil Description

Set in extensive grounds on the shores of Loch Eil, this is our most remote outdoor education centre and a former shooting lodge once owned by the Chief of the Clan Cameron. Close to Fort William and some of Europe's most beautiful and remote true wilderness, it’s ideal for adventure, walking and canoeing while nearby Ben Nevis is the venue for many of our climbing activities.

Pemchhiri Sherpa talking with pupils from St Leonard’s about his work as a high altitude Sherpa on Mount Everest, which he has climbed 14 times.
The students were fantastic, asking great questions, and Pem was brilliant with them. Magic!

Our very brave and “up for it” students from St Leonards School went for a quick dip yesterday before storm Brendon hit! The support for each other helped them through... well done, everyone! It’s promising to be a great week here at Loch Eil with these enthusiastic boys and girls around!💪🏻💪🏻

First day back at work for our team and top of the list was to ensure that our pizza ovens were still running and are ready to be used on our next adventures with young people... well, we can report that they still make very nice pizza indeed! 😜 Here is to an adventurous 2020! 🏔🛶
