Nice environment, food was a little mixed. Some really nice dishes but others that were not so good. Staff very professional and friendly. I would go back and give it second try.

Very nice breakfast this morning. Hot tea, good quality food. Only small criticism is the Haggis, as it was very dry. I guess it was either dry fried or grilled and perhaps needs some oil, or a more moist product. That's only my opinion though, maybe others like it that way. Overall though, very good friendly service!

Arrived in sunshine this time and it wasn't too busy but enough people to create atmosphere. Seated in a booth which was great for the three of us catching up. Lovely cold white wine and salad with a deal on for 2 main courses for £12! What more could we ask?

Great place, which is definitely more upmarket than the local competition.
Good choice of decent beers. The food menu is a bit limited and not quite as high end as I would expect from such a place, but it's good size helpings and it does taste good.
Nice atmosphere, though the acoustics of the building can make it seem disproportionately noisy, particularly up the far end.

Looked nice and lovely decor, quite nice atmosphere and good drinks selection. Gave two stars as food is really bland and big let down, wait staff not attentive or have any real customer service skills, took a while to be served. Expected more based on look and feel of place, I cooked better food at home - not worth itthe journey. Don't plan on returning. You can usually tell a good place is staff ask how your meal is / was.. didn't get asked which says a lot, which is a shame as this could be a really lovely place

A nice bar and a lovely atmosphere. The staff are really attentive. Unfortunately on a few occasions the food was served cold and had to be sent back but waiting staff dealt with this promptly.

Good food, good environment, good service. Would recommend.

Live very locally so pop in every now and then (young child permitting). It serves great beer and the service is good on the whole. However, the food can disappoint I find and tonight was no exception. My burger was really over done and tough as were the sausages for my daughter. It also took far too long to come, which isn't ideal when you are time limited on a Friday early evening with a hungry toddler and bedtime approaching. To be fair the waitress was great and recognised this and gave us a free drink. I've had some really nice meals here too, so it can be good but have found it patchy more often than not of late.

Someone's got that wrong. Went for lunch great fish and fish cakes. Will be back soon again.
