The Pier Cleethorpes - Papas

Well my wife and I have been to all 4 Papas and this one is the best by far (Willerby being the worst). Great food, decent portions all cooked to perfection. Big thick haddock fillets all juicy and flaky.
Nice friendly staff and great views through the big windows. The only downside was that it was slightly cold inside.
Spotless toilets. Reasonably priced too. Fantastic.

The biggest fish and chip restaurant in the world and our first visit today was superb. My girlfriend had the cod and chips and I had Hull Patties and chips and both were delicious. The pier building itself is spectacular and very up market fixtures and fittings. Well worth a visit, although it was very busy (Sunday lunchtime) when we left with a long queue to be seated, and I don't do long queues.

Loved it every time. Have been on several occasions and have just been with a big group. Great service and good food. As a less than adventurous person I haven been round the whole menu but I have enjoyed both haddock and skate.

This place opened full of threats and promises, it was going to put all of the existing fish and chip restaurants out of business and teach the locals what real fish and chips were like. Really! In reality I went twice - the second time because I didn't believe how poor the first time was. Bad service, overcooked fish ... the chips were okay. They tried to charge me for drinks I didn't have. If you are seated near the windows the view is good but most of the seating feels like you are sat in a nicely decorated school dinner hall. Don't waste your money here go to Steels or Ocean Fish Bar and have a proper experience.

Papa's fish & chips on the pier,very busy today and prices are at the higher end but very tasty.
Toilet size are a disappointment for this size of establishment but we coped 😀
