Went tonight for a family meal (16 of us ) ws a great service from the girl behind the bar very very helpful n very nice attitude the food ws all ordered at diff times bt came wen supposed to n ws absolutely delicious nt 1 complaint did any of us have with anythin n I would highly recommend this place to evry 1 very reasonably priced may I add as well n it's by far my favourite place to eat b4 anywhere else.

Was in the other other week with my husband and i ordered a steak well done, its was amazing so nice and cooked just the way i like it, will defo be back 😁😁

Was in on Friday with my husband and ordered two meals , it was very busy but the meals arrived fairly quick , both looked amazing and tasted even better compliments to the chef and to the staff , we will definitely be back

Was at it on Sunday with my girlfriend ordered our meals great piece of rump steak beautiful and so was donnas she reply loved as I did and dessert was brilliant along with my 2 pints of Carling's would go back again loved the day it was great

Visited here on Friday night, had a lovely meal and atmosphere was spot on , well done to the new manager .

Great meal good service except when bring food everything ordered should arrive at same time ie sauce with meal.. Shouldn't have to ask for it.. Also finer details no mushroom on surf and turf and no tomato salad or chutney with curry... Will return as overall it was lovely meal good x just needs finer points remedied x

Nice place, but staff were a little bit simple. Got over-charged for the two meals for 8 quid, Red Bull and mushy peas that I didn't ask for.

I was in on Saturday, party of 5. 2 separate orders but ordered at the same time. Waited quite a while. 2 of us got our food and we then waited another 20 mins before asking where the rest of the food was. Disappointed as we obviously wanted to eat together. That's the 3rd time that's happened to us. We got a free drink. I like the pines and you can forgive one mishap but for the same thing to happen 3 times is quite poor.

Was there last week with my 3 children starter came reasonably quick but waited an hour and ten minutes for our main course and only three came my daughter's hadn't even been made so she got hers when we were finished meaning she waited an hour and a half for hers the starters were terrible the burgers weren't that hot and the chips were hard the place was really noisy and also had to ask three times for cutlery as had no forks to eat our food with for which was supposed to be a nice family meal was a disaster disappointed to say the least .

Was in today with my sister. We both ordered the fish. It was extremely slimy, we had to actually scrape the slime off, and my sister left more than half of hers on her plate. Once the slime was scraped from mine it was actually ok. This has happened a few times. I like the pines, but this time wasn't great. The food today left a horrible taste in my mouth.

Ordered the classic mixed grill tonight. My bad, menu does state the skillet section comes on a bed of onion. Stupidly I thought a mixed grill would be the exception and just the steak would be cooked on a skillet. How wrong I was, the problem being the food was put on top on soggy wet sweaty onions. Not a bit of the skillet was left untouched. I'm still gagging at the taste left in my mouth 2 hours later. I do however have to say if your pallate likes nasty pale sweaty onions soaking your food then you're onto a winner moalstly. Steak was cooked lovely albeit a little fatty for my liking. The chicken fillet was still juicy and tender and the gammon which unfortunately I couldn't eat stinking of sweaty onions seemed cooked nicely too. I would even if you are a sausage lover avoid these at all costs. They are black. Skin is too chargrilled to eat. Definitely will not be having it again. No doubt I'm going to be up most of the night with indigestion

Ordered a steak for my other half and mixed starters for me. All to come at same time. Starters arrived. Nachos with a sprinkling of cheese. No salsa. No sour cream or guacamole. Potato skins ok and battered mushrooms ok. Sat and waited for my partners steak as didn't want to start eating without him. 10 minutes went by . Eventually got hold of the ONLY waitress in the place and she said it would come as soon as possible. So had no option but to eat myself. Steak arrives. No onion rings. Freezing cold chips. Went to bar to explain situation and was rectified quickly. The place was mobbed and the staff were run ragged. The least the chefs could do is put out the right dinners on a plate so the poor waitress isn't taking complaints as well taking out food. Surely it would be better to limit the tables occupied instead of allowing it to get so busy that you can't cope. At least then people would have the option to go elsewhere. This is my local but I think I'll go elsewhere from now on. The only saving grace is the lovely staff. Chefs need a kick up the butt. Manager needs to be more present in the restaurant. If it's busy and you're under pressure. Come and talk to your customers. Apologise. That goes a long way. If people think they are being ignored they will leave bad reviews.

Went today ordered from menu - no corn on the cob,no mayonnaise no vinegar, no ice cream and no chocolate sauce for cake really dissapointed especially it with bein Valentine's Day you would think they would have the basic necessities for a meal! Waste of money

Took my friends here when they were up visiting and was totally disgusted by what I saw under the eyes of security!!! Drug deals being done and drug taking in the toilets

Place was filthy,, no cutlery 2 staff on had 2 choose 3 different meals as was told “we don’t have that” twice,,, food was disgusting and could tell it had been in microwave ,,,, will definitely never be back

My GF had food in here today and it was possibly worse than an army ration pack, infact no possibly it 100% was, like a fucking dugs dinner wae added runny shite on top of it, macaroni n cheese that looks like the pasta has been made with ur toenails and the cheese looked like dry skin you had just picked aff your feet! Absolute garbij! Garlic bread as a side wae non-optional tuna that someones no doubt flicked on with there jobby fingers! Widny pish in here never mind eat

I have always liked the pines before new chef and staff .. but was there on easter sunday with my husband waited 45 mins for our main meal and even that the girl came and asked if we still didnt have our meal yet when we eventually got it the food was over cooked and very dry took us nearly half hour to get to speak to a member of staff then another half hour for our pudding which we had to ask for it then used lad ies tiolet to be hit with a broken tiolet pan lid eventually left starving and so dissapointed ruined my romantic day out with my husband ... unsure if i will go back always loved going to the pines
