Stayed for two nights, our stay was enjoyable. Staff were very friendly and helpful with good food.

Food was pretty average. Not bad value. Surroundings dated and in need of maintenance.

Stayed there last week. Room and bathroom beautiful. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Evening meal and breakfast very good. I think you're missing a trick in your bar. Drinks are very typical in a small country hotel with limited choice of varieties of mixers, spirits and beers. Most bars now have Fever Tree flavoured tonic and a good supply of ales. Wine selection needs to improve. Was not prepared to pay £23 for a bottle of Rioja when £15 would have been more acceptable. With all the weddings you have I think you need to modernise your drink selection. Perhaps have a gin festival and beer festival in the autumn/winter months. I feel that you rely on weddings and past reputation. We had a lovely stay but disappointed in the bar. Again tjough all staff fabulous!

Was here for silver wedding anniversary event. Function room beautiful, bar well stocked. Toilets clean . Either there wasn't a cloakroom or I just didn't find it, so outdoor jacket kept on back of chair.

I attended my friend's wedding reception and I was very pleased with the service and the staff. Everyone was professional and very welcoming. The venue itself was very clean and tidy, and the food was lovely. Highly recommended to all.

To start with out side was beautiful and then going into reception absolutely stunning. All staff are friendly. Happy to have a conversation with you and make you feel welcome. The 4 poster room that I stayed in was stunning. Bed was amazingly comfortable and the amenities were ample. We then went to the bar. Which was clean and well presented. No more needed in a bar. We proceeded to dinner which I must say is where they set the standard. Me and my misses did not fancy anything from the starters, so the waiter proceeded to ask what we would like to be put on the starter menus. We asked for chicken tempura which he asked the chef to whip up, which he did and it was lovely, I then had a steak which was the best steak I have ever had. EVER. and a desert which was above average our nights sleep was very good and relaxing. In the morning we had a good heart tasteful breakfast with lots of choices and smiles all round from the staff. Then had a lovely walk in the surrounding area which is lovely. We also had a lovely relaxing full body massage (hot stones) which was really good and had full use of the gym, pool, sauna and other amenities. Overall highly recommend and can assure that the Gibson and Shirkie family will be returning
