How serendipitous! During the festive period, we were given an award but the knowledge was embargoed until the official announcement. So we put the award somewhere safe and cracked on with slaking the hunger and thirsts of the hordes, off work until January.
As you can expect, the safe place became forgotten until January. We finally found our Foodie Explorers award on the same day an article on Glasgow Live championed our pies. Which happens to be the same day as Burns Night. It's almost like it was meant to be...
So thank you to everyone at Foodie Explorers, and to the team at Glasgow Live. Katie has already demanded a crushed velvet apron and a mahogany chopping board...

Is this absolute beast of a beer from Lawman Brewing Company better from cask or in bottle? That would be up to you to decide. Both available now.

User

It's here! Cask aged Obsidian 2018 from Lawman Brewing Company is on tap. It's.....big....£3.00 for a half pint at 10%. It's surprisingly fruity.

An interesting one from Jaw Brew. A 4.8% blonde ale with one of the ingredients being morning rolls. I for one love it and I am overcome with a strong desire for a square sausage....

You cannot come to Glasgow and miss this place. I first came when I studied abroad in 2015 and I return here each time I visit Glasgow (about twice a year.) As a whisky lover with not a lot of knowledge, I love that staff always answers my questions and are happy to do so and can always recommend a whisky for me that becomes a new favorite.

User

Was here last nite with my hubby great wee place, very friendly and informative staff, amazing range of whisky, will definitely be back 👌🙂

User

This is such a great wee bar. The choice of Whisky is dizzying and there's a good selection of ales. It's a relaxing place that lends itself well to good conversation. My only disappointment was the home made pie I had which had way too much flaky pastry and a mediocre filling. The peas that came with it were good though. It's a great wee place that I will return to without question however I'll skip the pie next time.

User

The best pub in Glasgow, bar none. A great atmosphere and a good choice of real ales. I had a 16 year old Lagavulin which I loved, although as a Yorkshire man the price had me wobbling more than the whisky!

User

Such friendly staff helping the new taster understand the 750+ whiskeys available and great pies!

User

Pot Still is whisky heaven, for sure. We arrived here unecpectedly not knowing what to expect but it was an experience beyond expectations. I don't want to enhance that all Scottish whisky that count can be found here, it does not matter. I don't want to dwell on the fantastic atmosphere-you can feel it right you enter the place. And let's not talk about the famous Scottish hospitality it's nr 1! In the whole country. What I'd like to highlight and thank especially for Chris (I hope I spelled right) is his amazing attention and thoughtfulness with which he tried to find the matching whisky for us. For those visiting Scotland this place is a must.

If you don't like whisky or you think you don't (yet) like it come to Pot Still and your opinion will change. Like in "Pretty Woman" the first impression is determining. Let it the Pot Still, the heart of Alba. Thanks for all Chris! Andrea& András from Hungary :-)

User

My husband and I went here while on our honeymoon and we loved it. If you're in Glasgow, you must stop in, Frank and his team are the best!

User

Must come back to taste some more pie and some whisky.

User

Has a great night in the pot still the staff and customers from all over the world are so friendly you always end up talking to someone great pub 🥃🥃🥃

User

Great selection of whiskey and great service.

User

Great place, always lively, everyone must visit at least once when in Glasgow. The gantry will make you giddy, and plenty non-whisky drinks. My dad and I always make a point of stopping in when he's in town and took part in a Speyside whisky tasting recently. Thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommended. Slainte!

User

Friendly staff great service and the place has a authentic air about it. Would recommend it to friends looking for a good whisky experience and friendly atmosphere.

User

5 star selection and 5 star staff. A very warm and friendly wee place. Katie’s knowledge of whiskey is most impressive and she introduced us to some of the finest malts we have ever tasted.

User

One of the best places in town for quality malt whisky choice and always competitively priced. Proper measures too!
