My wife and I ate in the Queensbury in Dumfries tonight ( Nov 11 2017). In the past we were not impressed but this time we had a really pleasant surprise. We were greated warmly and led to a warm comfortable table. Our meals were excellent and really good value. We were told that they have a new Chef, well the Chef is top class. We would recommend anyone who has not eaten here before, or for a long time, to give it a try, you will be really pleasantly surprised.
Food decent but a bit pricey
If only you could give zero stars, no service, woman holding a baby offered to serve a friend behind bar as waited that long
Restaurant supposed to be open till 9 but chef goes home at 7. Bucket collecting water from leak in ceiling of corridor. Water stains on walls in bedroom. Cobwebs on ceilings. Rooms generally unclean. Unhelpful staff. Started decorating bar area while customers drank. Uncomfortable beds. No lifts and tight spiral staircase to bedrooms. Bare minimum of linen and towels.
Was busy with events going on in the centre of the town. There was a very good feel about the place, good vibes. Had a lunchtime wrap this was delicious however the chips could have been better! Good value for money, easily accessible for wheelchairs. Clean and tidy with friendly staff.
Good selection of sports on TV. Very quiet on Sundays.
Breakfast are amzaing.
If you in area call in.
