The Rosedale Hotel Description
The hotel is located on the harbour front at Portree with stunning views across the bay. Originally formed from 3 Fishermans Houses - now a unique hotel with many stairs, low beams and an abundance of character.
The main hotel is essentially three adjacent buildings, each with a staircase, but only linked at certain levels.
All 24 En Suite Bedrooms are individually decorated and the original stone walls mean that all rooms are different in size and character.

Delighted to be featured in The Press and Journal's "The Menu". It is a well earned honour for our Head Chef Danny and his hard working restaurant team. His recipes are well worth a try.

Wonderful meal on Saturday night ! The canapés and pre- starter were a lovely surprise 😀 Everything was absolutely delicious - down to the home made caramelised onion milk bread with nutmeg butter -well done to the chef and all the staff on a great menu and great presentation👍😀

We came here for dinner whilst visiting Skye and very glad we did. Our meal was of the highest quality, perfect portion size, with a delicious wine list. Very good value for high end dining in my opinion. Best wishes Deborah and Marc
Was taking out for my birthday dinner here and it was outstanding, food was beautiful and the staff were brilliant, thank to all involved, can't wait to pop back!
Second visit here and just loved it. Great value for money considering you are given canapés and a pre starter before your actual meal. Was given mussels as the pre starter which was a surprise and I don't usually eat them but these were delicious. Then I had quinoa as starter hake main and chocolate dish for dessert. Just amazing food and gorgeous view over the harbour. Left feeling full but not uncomfortably so. Will def be back.
Rosedale is one of the best places I have stayed . Their accomodation is absolutely a delightful blend of good taste and sparkling cleanliness . The people here do everything to make your stay comfortable , they add a touch of warmth in every interaction they have . It's like staying at a comfy home like welcomed guests!! I would infact rate this higher than most 5 star hotels I have stayed !! If you are visiting Portree you should stay at The Rosedale !
Quaint and quirky great view food fantastic no need to eat elsewhere
My room was a lovely room with a fantastic view. When we arrived we had a wee dram and some tablet - a lovely touch. The staff were all very friendly and the food was of a very high standard . The pre-starter last night was a nice touch. Excellent breakfast choice this morning
Loved our stay in Portree and the attention to detail at the Rosedale was great. They were very helpful with my gluten free needs and breakfast and dinner were superb. Thank you again for an enjoyable visit!!
Incredible food. Probably one of the best meals iv ever had. Really good service. I’d recommend the trout to start and the strip joint for main!

I can't rave about this hotel enough, check in was smooth, we were offered the most delicious tablet & a wee dram when we arrived. we were shown to our rooms by the receptionist which I thought was such a nice touch. The room was huge & spotless (room 4) it had a gorgeous 4 poster bed and a beautiful bathroom. We had a drink in the hotel bar and again everything is of such high quality. The gin was served in crystal glasses with a different slice of fruit depending which gin you go for. The breakfast was out if this world. All freshly cooked, a stunning view over the harbour. We were traveling with a 1 year old and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Can't wait to return to this hotel. Thank you Neil & your team
Had the most amazing stay a few weeks ago at The Rosedale! This hotel is lovely, couldn't fault it! Very cute room with absolutely amazing views! Breakfast was delicious and the views from our breakfast table were brilliant! Neil the hotel manager is lovely and ensures you have a great stay and nothing is too much of a hassle! Would definitely return!
Had a fab meal here last Saturday!! Food superb,lovely view across the bay and very good service.sadly no pictures of the food,but my favourite was definitely the chocolate fondant �

Food was absolutely gorgeous and staff were efficient and helpful. Heard a few people complaining about the price but when you take into account the canapés, pre starter and quality of food, it's well worth your money and I was more than satisfied afterwards. I had the scallops starter, monkfish main and the white choclate parfait desert and it was delish. Will definitely be back ��

All I can say is WOW went out for a meal on Saturday the staff were great and complements to the chef it was awesome will be back if I could give it more than 5 stars I would
