This hotel is located in the centre of the town, amongst the shops. However, it may be a little difficult to find because on the outside of the building, it says ‘Number 44’. The hotel does not have a lift and all the rooms are on the first floor of the building. The rooms may have a sea view and if the sea is rough, you can hear the waves. The window was slightly ajar, it seems to be broken as it cannot be open any further nor closed completely. If the room faces the sea, you may see the sun rise in the morning. The room can be slightly cold as the radiators are centrally controlled and must be on a timer. However, there is an electric heater if needed. There is free wi-fi in the hotel, but the signal can vary from time to time. The basin in the en-suite is on the small side and there may be a slight delay for the hot water to come through the mixer tap, the same applies to the shower. There is a leather armchair in the room but there isn’t a chair for the desk. It can be noisy at times, either caused by guests staying at the hotel or music from nearby. The restaurant within the hotel serves a range of top quality dishes which are well presented. The food is delicious and if you can manage a three-course meal, it is highly recommended. However, do bear in mind that it does not serve food on Sunday evenings. Breakfast is simpler with fruits, orange juice, cereals, yoghurt on the buffet table. Tea and coffee are available, but it is self-service. The staffs are very friendly.

I was a weird way to check-in in you arrive after 17:00. We had to fine the bartender to ask to check-in. The hotel was clean, had a small, but nice feel. I couple things broke slightly while we were there. Nothing too bad, just needs a handyman. Also, breakfast ends quite early at 9:00. I didn't like that. Great showers & nice big towels provided.

Friendly helpful staff, great sea views. Comfy beds

Room 21 double ensuite was fine for 1 night and reasonable price (£60 approx for bed and breakfast). Newly refurbished with modern shower-room and quality furniture but the room was too small for it! E.g. tight squeeze to get past the wall-hung tv; no power socket near the kettle so had it on the bedside table; wall mirror blocked by the console table. Little things, but may bother some people.
Breakfast was full Scottish - bacon, egg, mushroom, sausage, tomato, haggis and black pudding. Was a bit salty by the end so some baked beans would have helped to even out the tastes. Good start to the day nonetheless.
Staff courteous at reception, at the bar, at breakfast. Friendly atmosphere.
Parked on the road outside as there's no private parking.

While the bar food was reasonable in quality, it's not cheap. Our main complaint centred around a completely choked WC in the gents toilet, and staff who did not want to, or even more importantly, do anything about it. Disgusting and will not be returning here.

It's a decent enough pub. Some of the seating is designed to look good but is not practical

Central location, great for drinks, shuts at 1am, kebab shop just round the corner!
