What a wonderful day we had. Fascinating. Would highly recommend a visit. The staff should be praised highly. They were so warm and friendly. Such a great treat to see it.

User

What a fantastic tour, loved it. It was interesting to see how the royal family lived on board ship and how they were looked after by the crew. The staff were very friendly and it's a lovely experience having a cream tea on board ship, felt very special.

User

Went with my husband and we both loved it. The boat is well maintained and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The cakes in the tea room were amazing

User

Went on 22nd July with my husband. We got a forces discount which was amazing value. Britannia is just what I expected, an amazing boat and a credit to all who keep her in such top-notch condition. We loved seeing how the royals lived on board and weren't surprised at the cramped conditons of the crew. Brought back memories of our seatime. I bought amazing raspberry fudge never sold that in our Naafis. Took lots of photos as one of my friends sailed in her. Can we also say the staff on board and in the gift shops and tickets desks are fantastic so welcoming, chatty and even taking pictures for you. We will apply for a pass for the family as I need to come back to try the tea shop(missed it out). BZ to all concerned

User

Went along with my two year old and six month old - had an amazing time. The staff are all so helpful, friendly and attentive. My two year old loved the Corgi hunt. We’ll be back all the time!

User

We had a fabulous time touring Britannia everyone was so lovely and friendly and the afternoon tea was wonderful .

I would definitely recommend this to friends .

Only one thing I would say , No Strollers - please !

We got caught behind a young family a lot of the time and it was just impossible to move past them , I don’t want to be unkind but it’s just not practical in a relatively small space .

User

We decided to go and visit this beautiful Yacht. We were blown away by the way it is preserved and to make it more special we had afternoon tea on board.

Well worth a visit if you’re ever around this area and so well organised.

The staff in the shop was very helpful and interested in our visit.

User

Was absolutely wonderful, well worth the money. Such a great day, can’t recommend it enough......5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

User

Took the whole family to enjoy one of the best tours in Edinburgh, our second time and the kids first... Everyone had a great day. Thankyou.

User

Really enjoyable day out, filled a good couple of hours walking about it and listening to the audio guide. My two young kids enjoyed doing the corgi hunt too. Interesting to see how life was on board.

I was at the Royal Yacht Britannia in Oecean Terminal on Saturday with my close pal called Gordon on Saturday. I would have to say it was very big and very insterting tour and the handset was great telling us all the 29 tours about the Royal Yacht Britannia and it was brilliant its all been done up since the last time I was there about 12 years ago I was there when I was 12 or 13 the last time with my Mum. The Boat was great and me and friend took quite a few photos. The lego boat was a cracker too. The café was nice is well I got a cup of tea and my friend got a cappcuino and the staff were very nice and friendly in there. I tried the captain jacket and hat on like I was captian of the Royal Yacht Britannia. It was worth £14 to get in to include the tour the handset and the photo taken and the 1 hour and 30minutes tour. I will be back in there again as it was very interesting and a brilliant tour and the staff were very nice and friendly. My friend stays in Edinborugh done in Prestonpans in Edinborugh 30 minutes away from the Royal Yacht Britannia. I stay in North Motherwell 1 hour too 1 hour and 30 minutes away from the Royal Yacht Britannia. I get the train into Edinborugh Warvley then the 34 bus into Oecan terminal shopping centre.

User

Great place to visit, have seen her moored in the solent many years ago, always wanted to see the the real thing

User

Fascinating insight. It was great to see how intimate it must have been. I really understand how the Queen and her family loved it. However I am now convinced why it had to be decommissioned. The cost to update, renovate and keep it running could not be justified using taxpayers money.

User

Decided on impulse to travel to Edinburgh on a day i was off, SOOOO glad I did. Thoroughly enjoyed the 2 hours spent onboard listening to the stories told by the Yachtsmen, and staff. Didn't stay for food, as I had a long trip home and an appointment, but will definitely be back. If only to eat what the Queen eats. After all, if it's good enough for Her Majesty to eat there, then it's good enough for me.

User

Brilliant visit to an iconic Yacht. Amazing to walk around it after seeing it on TV with all the Royals over the years. Great value as well. If you go, DO NOT miss the Restaurant m, the Tea n Scones are beautiful.

User

A very interesting visit and the self guided audio tour works well. All staff friendly and welcoming. Treat yourself to the indulgent cream tea special in the tea rooms it’s £23 well spent for the luxury of dining in a stunning setting.

User

A first class day out. A ship that has obviously been loved all its days. Makes me proud that she existed and did what she did in the world. Sad that britain no longer wishes to be great and promote a ship like this. A great ambassador for britain and brought joy and happiness wherever she went. Long may she continue to bring pride to our nation. God knows precious little else does.

User

A fantastic sight to see how Great Britain projected it's self to the rest of the world. Such a shame its not still in active service for the country but a true testament to British engineering and shipbuilding and not least to the marvelous staff securing her long term future for the country.

User

A brilliant way to spend a morning or afternoon. The audio tour was great; not too long but just enough information. I liked the fact that most things were not behind barriers. You could touch lots of things and sit down on the many seats around the ship. It was a well organised tour, starting at the top of the ship. We also tasted and bought some delicious fudge from the NAAFI shop. I was really impressed with the tour and would definitely recommend it.
