Feel like something new but your wardrobe’s bulging? 🙈 Time for a wardrobe edit...a nice big spring clean for the warmer months ahead. 🌥⛅️🌤☀️ But where to start!!! If you feel overwhelmed, read on. Here’s our top tips. 1. Empty the entire contents of your wardrobe and give the interior a good clean. (Don’t head off for a coffee - keep going)... 2. Assign everything to either keep, sell or donate. If you’re on the fence about anything try wearing it for a day then deciding. Get rid of anything faded, misshapen or beyond repair as you’ll never wear it. 3. Separating summer and winter clothing will give you a whole lot more space. Store out-of-season clothes carefully to ensure they are kept in peak condition. Here’s the Do-and-Don’t of it - DO store like with like. DO store clothes in plastic boxes - wood, cardboard and paper can damage fabrics. DO wash and dry clothes thoroughly before storing. DO place cedar balls, moth-repellent crystals or lavender sachets in between layers. DON’T iron or starch anything you’re storing for longer than a few weeks. Both can weaken the fibres and make them prone to tearing along the creases. DO keep your boxes or cases off the floor in a cool place, away from damp, sunlight and heat. (you’re now ready to use that gorgeous new space 🙌) 4. Group together t-shirts, sweaters, dresses, trousers, blouses, that way you’ll get a sense for items you might have too many off. (If you have 10 white trapezes tops you really don’t need another!! That’s pennies for something else) 5. Stack shoe boxes in the base of the wardrobe and try to keep it to what you’re currently wearing. (🙈🙈🙈our downfall!!) 6. Keeping your edit tight will make your day-to-day selection so much easier and your purchases so much more on point. Buy what you need and what you love and wear it well, and in turn you will tread a little lighter on our world 🌎 ....now for something new!!!! 🛍
