Since re-launching just six months ago, we have worked hard to serve up the very best local and seasonal produce with the finest seafood and meat dishes on offer.

The food was delicious, can’t praise it enough. Staff were great too. The restaurant is really nice and having all the ships and pilot boats passing so close was great. My only problem was the spiral staircase access, I am 71 and the arthritic knees didn’t like it🙄 As far as I know no lift but didn’t actually ask.

Service was faultless. Would highly recommend the Mussels - best I have tasted in years. The Sauvignon Blanc is stonking & the Menabrea on tap was a treat - 5 �

Really excellent lunch today, couldn’t fault a thing. I had oysters, sea bass and lemon cheesecake, all very fresh. Best lunch I’ve had in Aberdeen for a long long time. Well done Silver Darling 👋 oh and dolphins 🐬 swimming in the harbour to boot!

It was my first time there ...and would love to go again .....

Myself and my boyfriend were here on Saturday night for our anniversary dinner. This was our first time both in Aberdeen and The Silver Darling and I have to say we were not disappointed! Our meal was absolutely superb from start to finish and honestly it is the best food I think I have ever had. Our waitress- Dani was absolutely fabulous and was lovely and chatty and even booked our taxi for us at the end of the night. Both of us decided to try oysters for the first time and Dani was very informative of what to expect and where the oysters came from! The atmosphere and the setting were just amazing. We will definitely be back. Thank you to Dani and the rest of the team for a fantastic evening.

Lunch with my daughter and the food was delicious - I’d crab cakes then monkfish wrapped in Parma ham followed by coconut panacotta with fresh pineapple - absolutely first class and so flavour-some - location and views over harbour entrance and Beach are so relaxing ...no 1 Aberdeen restaurant for me! Have booked the family for Christmas Eve but we’ll be back before then.

Just spent a gorgeous 2 hours sat by a window enjoying 3 courses, oysters and a bottle of wine. Lovely view and friendly staff. We went at a great time when there was atmosphere without it feeling too busy. The food was delicious and the price more reasonable than we expected! Hope we will be able to return, thank you very much. The brownie was ridiculous!! (In a good way)

I celebrated my Graduation with a meal at Silver Darling this week, a place I have wanted to visit for a long time and it didn’t disappoint. The food, service and views were all spectacular. Look forward to my next visit. Thanks again

I called in for lunch at the weekend. The food was the best I’ve tasted in Aberdeen. Cannot recommend this place enough!!! Five stars doesn’t give this place justice.

Enjoyed dinner here a few weeks ago. We got a lovely table right by the window, and it was great fun watching the different boats coming and going although you can easily spot them wherever you sit really - it’s a perfect setting for the view! The food was delicious, dessert amazing �, the staff were all friendly & attentive - nothing too much trouble. We all enjoyed it & will definitely return in the future!

Came for the 1st time last night...will definitely return.The food ,service and location just perfect. My crab cocktail was devine and the halibut melt in the mouth, followed by the wonderful fresh raspberry cheesecake. Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared and presented. A lovely view with amazing food. I literally have never had better oysters in my entire life. The trout was perfection, the scallops were fat and sweet and our first venture in haggis was delicious.

I went for lunch today with my son who had always wanted to go there. What a difference in the standard of the food since it’s changed owners. The portions were much bigger and more substantial and absolutely delicious. We had fresh oysters, seafood bisque and seared fillet of sea bass and halibut. All three courses were very fresh and tasty and decent sized portions, my criticism of the old owners was the portions were very small. The only negative was the service was very slow but worth it for the food when it eventually arrived.

Got great table at the Silver Darling overlooking the North Sea.Had asked for a window seat and would say got the best one.Great restaurant in Aberdeen - very pleasant staff too.

We were really disappointed last night we were booked for 7.30 , it was really busy , our waitress was lovely and the setting beautifull , however we ordered the seafood platter, which we waited just over an hour for , it was lovely , then we waited a further hour for our mains , which we were kind of past it by then , we will go back again as i had previosly purchased vouchers for family , i just hope our experience is better next time .

We were disappointed with our starters. My partner ordered mussels and they were tasteless, rubbery and not very fresh. I had the black pudding and haggis croquettes which was served with literally 4 pieces of rocket. The main course and desserts were very good. But we felt that the service was very slow.

Good service however my starter was extremely small and the main was a little bland. The seafood was delicious and fresh but we did leave a little hungry afterwards. We were asked if we wanted water but as we didn't have a drinks menu and it wasn't explained that each water was a litre bottle, we ended up with a litre each on the table which also added quite a bit onto the bill particularly as most of the water was then left as there was far too much. I would still recommend to seafood lovers as the shellfish was good. Maybe some bread on the table would be a nice addition.

Aware of the change of ownership & redesign. Nice day & booked with the family. It was fresh, good produce & great setting!! (Great views of boats & dolphins) However wasn’t the best atmosphere, seats are very “cafe”, staff were “ok” not overly friendly, can’t say I viewed a smile! Pricing is very reasonable indeed. Would be AMAZING, regardless of downfalls, if they had outdoor seating!!

Did NOT like having to use bathrooms with random members of the public however, as they are below restaurant and Not manned. Men waiting around for wife’s using the bathrooms wasn’t the scenario I was hoping for!

Given the location they should certainly go full-on seafood, I’d definitely make it a regular if they did!
