You get what you pay for and yes this place is on the higher end of the scale but I can’t stress this enough - it’s worth every penny! We had the Porterhouse which came as an 800g between two and was perfectly sized for my wife and I. Service was great and we were shown the cut or meat before ordering! Something all good restaurants should do for you! Will definitely be back at some point and have been recommending to family already! 5 stars all the way!

The food was faultless! We shared the cured meats starter as we didn't want to fill ourselves up too much but we definitely could have eaten one each. We then ordered the 500mg chateaubriand which was amazing! It was cooked exactly how we asked. The broccoli and crushed potatoes sides were also very tasty packed with flavour. Our waitress was the loveliest person who was able to answer every question we had about different meats and cuts. Highly recommend this place. We can't wait to go back

The food was absolutely gorgeous, and every single mouthful (from 4 of us) was accompanied by a nod of the head and an almost filthy moan of joy!! Waiting staff were first class; lovely, attentive, and incredibly knowledgable about the menu. I'd never spell her name correctly so I won't even attempt it, but our Spanish waiter was an absolute diamond.

Our gobs and flabber, have been well and truly smacked and gasted!!

My husband I are huge fans of the butcher shop and decided to try here for a change.Tge staff were lovey,polite and helpful.They took our coats chatted away and explained the menu to us.The food was excellent and tasted as well as looked amazing! Price was exactly what we expected and very good value for money.We only wish we had room for dessert.

Just popped in for a drink at the bar (having eaten many times before). Fantastic service as always from Martin and his team. Can’t wait to try the Sunday lunch menu 👍

Great choice of starters which you won’t find on most other Glasgow menus, octopus and smoked bone marrow with snails for example. Main courses are a steak lovers paradise, but there are plenty of fish dishes. I had the Iberico pork which was very tasty. Great friendly staff, highly recommended.

Food was exceptional! We had both mussels and oyster starters, fresh,clean, beautifuly presented with superb dry white Rioja, then sirloin and lamb as mains, again beautiful with a recommended Rioja; dessert was easy, café con leche, one of the best starters I 've ever had, worth returning for on its own. Staff were very attentive without being overbearing, fantastic :-)

Food was 1st class, from starters to mains..

Everything was cooked to perfection...

And Yes the CHIPS are amazing......

Staff where fantastic, helpful and polite, new there menus, always there but not intrusive in any way, well done guys...

Fantastic service & food was incredible. Spanish butcher has been one of the best restaurants we have visited (& we are always out for dinner). We had the chateuxbriand & it was cooked to perfection. Truffle fries, smashed potatoes & everything else was insane. I'm getting hungry thinking about it! Go go go!

Fabulous food and fantastic service from Martina ? Looked after without being intrusive, very knowledgeable about both food and wine. Tried the Oysters along with the lunch menu, couldn’t fault it. Will definitely be back !! 👍

Exceptional service and first class lunch

Excellent meat, waiting staff imbeccable, something you would find in the best restaurants in the world. It was our anniversary meal and very good at that. Prime rib was outstanding. Wine delicious, mojo verde amazing and garlic potatoes so garlicky that it burned. How it should be when ordering garlicky stuff. Defo visiting again. Pure bliss. �

Attentive, friendly and exceptionally knowledgeable staff which is somewhat rare these days. Amazing steak which although quite expensive was worth every penny. Tasty wine which was great value at only £24. And to top it off, the best dessert I’ve ever had. Simply superb!

Lovely place steak is amazing service is great sides came out cold which they replaced but it’s not the same having a steak with no sides that’s my only disappointment the sides should go with the meat not to be eaten alone

We where very disappointed. We entered to the curtained doorway which is lovely until you are sat at a table behind that curtain so you feel every draft from the door. The starters we wanted weren't available ... ok so we will go to main course .. there was two of us my husband fancied the lamb I wanted steak there are three choices all priced per 100g brilliant ... but when I ordered the £10 per 100g steak the minimum I could get was 700g so was recommended the pork that tastes like steak or the 200g fillet that is £30. So in other words menu is shit oh and the table bestseller is offered their candle to help read the menu!! Won't be returning should be advertised for tables of 4 and over . We often go for chateubrian in here minimum 800g £90 so for two!!!! Enough said .... so disappointed and won't return or recommend service was rushed and lamb dish although lovely flavours was fatty and chewy

Fantastic service Amazing Food

Fantastic service & food was incredible. Spanish butcher has been one of the best restaurants we have visited (& we are always out for dinner). We had the chateuxbriand & it was cooked to perfection. Truffle fries, smashed potatoes & everything else was insane. I'm getting hungry thinking about it! Go go go!

Fabulous food and fantastic service from Martina ? Looked after without being intrusive, very knowledgeable about both food and wine. Tried the Oysters along with the lunch menu, couldn’t fault it. Will definitely be back !! 👍

Exceptional service and first class lunch

Excellent meat, waiting staff imbeccable, something you would find in the best restaurants in the world. It was our anniversary meal and very good at that. Prime rib was outstanding. Wine delicious, mojo verde amazing and garlic potatoes so garlicky that it burned. How it should be when ordering garlicky stuff. Defo visiting again. Pure bliss. �

Beautiful setting, great service and fantastic food!! Our waitress was very informative,making sure to help me pick the right wine and cut of meat. Will definitely return! Thanks again �

Attentive, friendly and exceptionally knowledgeable staff which is somewhat rare these days. Amazing steak which although quite expensive was worth every penny. Tasty wine which was great value at only £24. And to top it off, the best dessert I’ve ever had. Simply superb!

Amazing place, the best food I have had and steak in Glasgow by far! Pricey but worth it! A real experience and the staff serving us where fab also Aroha the waitress is top class!! Such a lovely person which helped with the evening! Thank you x

Lovely place steak is amazing service is great sides came out cold which they replaced but it’s not the same having a steak with no sides that’s my only disappointment the sides should go with the meat not to be eaten alone

We where very disappointed. We entered to the curtained doorway which is lovely until you are sat at a table behind that curtain so you feel every draft from the door. The starters we wanted weren't available ... ok so we will go to main course .. there was two of us my husband fancied the lamb I wanted steak there are three choices all priced per 100g brilliant ... but when I ordered the £10 per 100g steak the minimum I could get was 700g so was recommended the pork that tastes like steak or the 200g fillet that is £30. So in other words menu is shit oh and the table bestseller is offered their candle to help read the menu!! Won't be returning should be advertised for tables of 4 and over . We often go for chateubrian in here minimum 800g £90 so for two!!!! Enough said .... so disappointed and won't return or recommend service was rushed and lamb dish although lovely flavours was fatty and chewy
