A WONDERFUL stay is what I would say about The Spinney. Sandra and Bill were great hosts and explained a lot about the local sites and areas to visit. The rooms were updated, spacious, comfortable and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The grounds were impressive and the love and care put into this B&B were visible everywhere. When we departed, my wife left her purse on the back of the chair after the feast of a breakfast that Bill made. We were 20 miles away when we noticed it, and turned around to retrieve it. Since they had a previous appointment, there was a note placed on the door that said we could pick it up at the Jedburgh information center. What GRAND people. I have often wondered it that would have happened the same way here in the US. I would like to hope so. The Spinney is all that the book says it is and more. Bill and Sandra are fabulous people.
