Great traditional bar. Good selection of beers and spirits...and wine. Also great bar food. Can highly recommend their home made burgers.. Cosy, friendly atmosphere whether with a crowd or just on your own. Also allow dogs...
I've always found the St Vincent to be an anomaly. At certain times of the day there's only regulars drinking, and both they and the staff have a tendency to make you feel a bit unwelcome.
Go at a different time of day, and the place will be full, the regulars relegated to the corner of the bar, and the main body of the pub will be full of chatter from people from all over the surrounding neighbourhoods.
There's not a huge selection of drinks available, but if you're into ales and continental lager you should be fine.
The decor is interesting, it's dog-friendly (always a bonus as far I'm concerned) and they serve fantastic burgers. They actually run the kitchen as a separate entity, delivering gourmet burgers to your door via Deliveroo, under the guise of Feed. I can heartily recommend the burgers. The pub itself I'm not so sure about.
Quirky popular bar offering food. Popular with locals and visitors to the city.
Great staff, friendly, helpful and not in your way. Excellent pints at perfect cellar temperature. Devine food, sometimes a bit loud during sports events but it adds to the pub atmosphere. Cherry on the cake, it is dog friendly!!
Great food and a friendly atmosphere. Good for meeting up for a chat and a couple of drinks.
My favourite pub in Edinburgh. Inspector Morse would drink beer here. Great food, as well, with quite a nice choice of burgers on the menu.
At last a good pub in Embra. With good people !
Quirky local, serving a great take on american food (Wings Wednesday is great), standard choices of beer, shows rugby
