Good service, good prices and a really nice building. It used to be a bank. Different dietary options (vegan, etc). You also have a decent variety of drinks and cocktails. The Scottisch breakfast is pretty cheap as well. Recommended!

"How can you review this so highly? It's just a 'Spoons", I hear you cry! Aye but step into the place and see for yourself - it surely must be among the greatest in their collection. The venue is eye-poppingly beautiful and to be honest their staff have never ever let me down. Drinks are cheap, the food is well, as you'd expect, and the facilities are always really clean and well presented. I wouldn't normally rave over a Wetherspoons but this is not your average one either.

Food was nice. The lady behind the bar was rude. I asked for my meal with no salad and she just tutted and then started bang my order in the till. I asked for no ice in my coke and when I reminder her as she was putting it in she throw it back in to the ice tray. Moaning to herself. And then just said how much no please or thanks. I was really disappointed with my experience. Many other Wetherspoons pubs have no problem with asking for plain food .

This is a big well run establishment, with a number of different facilities and areas, some of which are geared towards families until a certain time period, which is clearly displayed. Service is generally good during the day and food popular and catering to many dietary requirements. It is a terrific building but the furnishings are looking a bit tired. It's quite a noisy environment so not ideal for a quiet chat. The prices and the size of the place are the real draw.

Best place to eat in Edinburgh. Very good dishes with a wide choice. It is also very cheap (10£ a dish with drink included).
The building is an old bank, you have to find a table and go to order yourself (look at your table number). Then you'll be served at your table.

Does what it says on the tin. Good quality, value priced drink. Same for the food. Throw in good staff and you've got a decent, solid place to go.

I would give it zero of I Could. We spent over £100.00 at the bar at asked if they could show the SCOTTISH CUP SEM FINAL whilst we enjoyed our drinks. Reply was that we don't put on sports. Funny enough after a short period they put on the ENGLISH FA cup semi final game. BOYCOTT THIS PLACE

Very nice bar for spoons. They have a much wider range of whiskies than most which is really good. Staff seem friendly enough and the food was nicely done and surprisingly quick.

We discovered this place on the last night of our visit to Edinburgh, and only had the opportunity to grab some beers. Had we found it earlier I have a feeling we'd have come a few times. Being a converted bank, the place is huge and has high ceilings that make it feel much more open than the typical pub. There's a huge selection of beers. We didn't have food but the menu is pretty large and the food we saw looked good.
