Fantastic local pub. Seriously good food coupled with a great atmosphere and truly friendly staff. Arrived in the isle of whithorn late and headed straight to the pub for a pint and bite to eat. Welcoming reception and it was evident straight away that this pub is a regular for locals but just as welcoming for those visiting too. Great quality and value food - couldn't finish my seafood platter as there was so much! We visited on Halloween weekend and were asked to judge the local ladies witch fancy dress 'hag' competition! Great fun and will be back again!

Stopped in for dinner, thankfully managed to get a seat its a busy place. Staff were very helpful and service was fast, the food was great and the portions are big. We were very happy to have stumbled across this gem of a place and will definitely be eating there again. Next time we will book to be safe.

Amazing seafood, great selection of real ales and a dog-friendly location to relax and enjoy this lovely part of Scotland. The seafood platter is highly recommended for any seafood lover! Very good prices for food too.

Good selection of drinks and food. Food is well presented and tasty. The main menu items are from £10-£15. It is worth phoning ahead to book a table just to be sure if visiting on an evening or weekend even more so if visiting with young children as they seem to have limited baby seating. It is not the most easily wheelchair accessible building so take this into consideration if visiting. Overall I would recommend.

Excellent place to stay in remote part of Scotland - particularly good for solo travellers - I paid £30, the standard per person rate, and was put in a big triple room. Room was fine, big, clean and functional. I'm a light sleeper and always use earplugs - no exception here as could hear noise from pub below. Good breakfast included in the price. Lovely view across the harbour from outside, and well located for bus stops, just a few minutes walk away

A lovely place to have lunch. Great location, great food, and a huge selection of ales at the bar. All in all it's well worth the visit.

This is just one of the most welcoming friendly pubs we've ever been to. Rooms are well maintained, the view over the harbour is very relaxing. The food and service are fantastic, we would recommend to anybody.
