Hugely thankful for all the hardworking frontline workers keeping the country going, especially the NHS and I’m thinking of all the folk in my previous industry of food manufacturing turning up to work to keep supply chains going & feeding the nation❤️

Hopeful skies ☀️
I know I’ve been silent for a while, but in the back ground dealing with no childcare and a cough which meant I needed to cancel baking this week (I’m well, it’s just I can’t risk supplying my cakes).
It sucks, but nothing close to what my fellow small business owners with premises & staff are going through right now. I can’t even imagine the stress they are going through. ... Please see @mountaincafeaviemore latest post, it’s such a heart breaking time
Please do support small businesses in anyway you can. A lot of the small food businesses are still offering their fab food & coffee to go and there’s lots of other ways to support them, wether you are socialising or self isolating.
My pals @pccoffeeuk are serving takeaway coffee & food from their window, coffee bean deliveries and gift vouchers are available online too.
The makers & crafters are still doing what they do and tonnes are online, so you can still get beautifully made items delivered.
Here’s a list of fab Glasgow & Helensburgh area businesses still keeping going doing their thing, some in a slightly different way, please support local small businesses if you can, otherwise all that will be left is the supermarkets

A joint birthday cake for a gorgeous boy turning 3 and his very lovely mummy, who supplied me with the design, the cute model of Paddington & marmalade sandwiches! 🎉🐻🥪🎉
I loved the flavours of this one..... The top tier was a spiced carrot cake filled with an orange zest butter cream, covered in vanilla butter cream, with a gold white chocolate ganache drip ‘marmalade’ and the bottom tier was a brown sugar & apple sponge filled with biscoff spread butter cream, finished wit...h biscoff butter cream rosettes.

Starting the year with some new bakes 🙌🏻 this ginger slice is based on a traditional Kiwi ginger crunch, but with oats in the base, it’s chewy too! It’s excellent with a cuppa!😋

These pistachio, cherry & dark chocolate friands were dropped off yesterday to my pals at @pccoffeeuk along with lots of other sweet treats including vegan carrot orange & pecan loaves and my sticky toffee pudding cakes.
