About The University Of Edinburgh Southern African Society

The University of Edinburgh Southern African Society is governed by a constitution that outlines the following aims: 1. To provide a platform for the Southern African community studying in Edinburgh. 2. To promote Southern Africa and all of its culture and heritage. 3. To be recognised as a socially responsible society that actively strives to help charities. Through hosting our annual charity ball and other various events throughout the year, the society raises funds for the Yivani Mbali Foundation, a charity which was set up in memory of our close friend and former University of Edinburgh student, Yivani Mbali Ndizana.
