Wonderful food, service and cocktails in a lovely setting. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

We attended the gourmet food and wine pairing evening last night. Well done to the whole Waterside team on a fantastic night!! The food was outstanding and the wine perfectly matched!! Looking forward to the next one!!

Was there for lunch today. Staff really friendly. Lovely and comfortable place. Both had burgers which were delicious but couldnt finish it all. Its large portions. Sticky toffee pudding was lovely as well. Highly recommend and we will be back again. ­¤¢Æ xx

The Waterside is an excellent eating place in Strathaven. The menu is varied, the food is good, the service second to none, the setting is beautiful and the whole ambience has to be admired. The staff and management are always happy to help and ensure that its patrons are well looked after. Hang on to your Chef, he is doing you proud !!

Staying in Strathaven for the weekend and visited The Waterside last night for a family meal and was not disappointed.The salmon was probably one of the nicest meals I've ever eaten out. Compliments to the chef. If you're in the area, this place is a must!

Just want to thank the Waterside for buying local quality farm meat, I am a small local farmer who produces rare breed , ethically produced free range pork. This is the highest quality and price reflect this and Waterside supports my farm weekly and pays for quality. The cooking is exceptional and compliments the quality of meat. Cocktails great as well.

Just been in for lunch with the hubby and big bro lovely meal great service would certainly recommend!!

Had drinks and a meal yesterday afternoon sat out in the beer garden area. Good food nice weather helped being outside. Staff very friendly and provided excellent service. This is one of our favourite local places to eat drink and chill out.

Had a really lovely meal last night with my partner, fish and chips and a cheeseburger. Both were really well seasoned and healthy portions. Service was really good, friendly and the staff couldn't have been more attentive! Unfortunately we didn't have more spare change to give a worthy tip to reflect the high standard but we did have a few cocktails in the bar after dinner with some other friends. Again, the bar staff were excellent with their service. I usually come in for a few drinks every other weekend but I will be here more often for the food as well!

First visit yesterday. Will definitely be back. Great food, reasonably priced. Lovely decor. Great service. Only slight gripe was a starter and dessert getting served on slate, just a bug bear of mine, plates or bowls much preferred over the slate or wooden board trend. Nothing bad to say. Hopefully the great standards will be maintained.

Been here several times now and have never once found anything to fault! The food is outstanding, and you can tell it's not store bought, everything is so fresh and delicious. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming and very attentive. 100% worth a visit and could not recommend enough.

Nice bar food ok but the manager/ owner was really surly. Maybe he was having a bad day ’┐Į

This is the second time we visited in a matter of days. both occasions we wasnŌĆÖt disappointed and even better when we got a discount on the steak night. Definitely go back when back in the area.

Had a birthday dinner last Sunday. Service was slow. Mum's steak very undercooked , she got it free of charge but ruined the dinner. Then we didn't know my brother had ordered a nice bt prosecco for our table until I got a call the next day from the manager. Not happy. Money refunded.

Was in again yesterday for dinner. Again service slow but bit better. Food was lovely. Atmosphere was tremendous with live music then DJ. Weather made a great day outside too.

Really poor service would not recommend if you are sitting outside - was given the outside menu and as I am on slimming world pizza burgers were not suitable so asked to see the main menu and was told no as we were sitting outside. So asked to change the hallumi salad to chicken salad which they did however it was so salty I couldnŌĆÖt even eat it as well as being charged for the full hallumi salad plus ┬Ż5 extra for the chicken salad.



WonŌĆÖt be back for not being accommodating and rude when asked to see main menu very disappointed
