The Wheel Caravan Park
Reviews
Nice little site on the edge of the woods. Saw some deer nearby. About a 10 min walk to the Falkirk tunnel which brings you out at the top of the wheel. We also enjoyed a drive to the kelpies to watch the light show when it got dark enough.
Easy going site. Free music on saturday nifht and art each day in studio. Basic washing showering and laundry facilities. Cheaper than caravan club. Camping also. Lots of walks begin at the site. Close to the Falkirk wheel and the canal.
Great site, still in it's infancy but has all facilities (clean toilets and shower too) all within a stones throw from the Falkirk wheel and a great restaurant. The best part though is that the farmer who runs it has just invited all the campsite to bring their own drinks for a get together and for him to play his bagpipes and guitar to everyone whilst singing too, very good
It's a great campsite, with a lovely host!!
It's really clean.
There is everything you need. Real washing machine and dryer for 1 pound each.
That's the cheapest campsite where we went, just 14 pounds for a tent (2 pp and 1 car).
Peaceful and quiet. Feels like in the middle of nowhere, but is only a 5 minute drive to Falkirk town centre and a 5 minute walk to the Falkirk Wheel. Surrounded by trees and fields, with sheep, Highland cows and white doves.
Facilities are spotless clean. Good strong hot shower. Kitchen with microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Very friendly owner.
