Delighted to announce that this Friday we will be joined by Alastair Milligan of Gordon & Maphail who will be hosting an open tasting between 12.00pm and 4.30pm. He will be showcasing some fantastic bottlings from across the G&M and Benromach ranges including Whisky Castle Exclusives. The perfect opportunity to pick up some cracking Christmas gifts!

Join us for open whisky tastings from the 27th to the 30th September with Hunter Laing of Glasgow and Gordon and MacPhail of Elgin!
On Thursday, meet Gordon Barr from Hunter Laing of Glasgow between 11.03am and 4.00pm. Gordon will spend the day conducting tastings for customers showcasing the huge range of products they supply to the Whisky Castle. Gordon possesses an excellent in-depth knowledge of whisky and its history. He will be offering you tastings throughout the day f...rom the various ranges that Hunter Laing produce, which are all non-chill filtered with natural colour. These will include tastings from their Old Malt Cask and Hepburn’s Choice range, along with Whisky Castle Exclusive single cask bottlings.
Friday and Saturday will offer open tastings by the Whisky Castle team showcasing some of our more unique, independently bottled, single cask whiskies, many of which are only available exclusively from the Whisky Castle. On Sunday between 12.30pm and 4.30pm , we are delighted that Alastair Milligan of Gordon & MacPhail will be hosting tastings for our visitors. During his open tasting, Alastair will be offering tastings from the fantastic ranges that Gordon & MacPhail produce. These will include tasting from the new Connoisseurs Choice and Discovery ranges.
When you visit us, you can complement your tasting experience by enjoying our cosy cafe for a snack or light lunch and browse a wide selection of Scottish gifts, foods, toys, clothing and unique jewellery.

Hi Folks. Sorry to say that The Ben Nevis Highland Centre in Fort William was broken into on Sunday night and whisky was stolen. Men matching the description of the ones who targeted us were seen in the shop. They are still out there targeting retailers so please be on your guard and please pass on to any retailers you know in the area. If you see them, call the police immediately.

Hi Folks. A quick heads up to all retailers in the area. This group of 3 men stole some expensive bottlings from our shop yesterday. The were quick, professional and organised. The one who actually lifted the bottles was wearing a distinctive big padded jacket with the PORC logo on the back and had a small pony tail. The police believe they may be running a circuit, so please pass this on to any local retailers you know.

The Whisky Castle is probably the best Whisky Shop that I have ever been too. I spent more than I was expecting but the lovely people who run the shop were ever so accommodating, very friendly and were more than happy to let us sample their extensive selection. Very tempted to go back before we leave Tomintoul. We were even allowed to hold a bottle of their 68 year old Whisky that they are proud of. In short, if you visit Tomintoul, you enjoy or appreciate Whisky... then pop in. You won't be disappointed
