The Woodside Hotel

Wow..

What an extremely friendly hotel.

My dear wife and myself had the pleasure of staying at the Woodside Hotel on a Saturday night.

Very respectable price, inc breakfast for 2, in comparison to "other" nearby establishments.

If you're on holiday in the Stirling area and looking for a very friendly, clean and respected hotel, then stay at the Woodside..

My family and I stayed at the Woodside for 8 wonderful days. The rooms were cozy and clean, food was fantastic, and the entire staff were very welcoming and pleasant. They didn't mind when we wanted to grab a few things for breakfast and head out early and we're always excited to hear about what we'd done for the day. Connie, Suzane, and Julie are fantastic and always made us feel at home. The decor is simple and the rooms smaller than mine at home, but the spaces downstairs are a great place to hang out, grab a pint, and meet the locals and other travelers. The Woodside seems to be a mix of these two as it is very near the shops and there's a ten minute walk to the castle. We'll definitely be back and I miss it already.

Came here for lunch with a large group. We were expected but unfortunately the service was still very slow; we had to queue up in the bar to be served and it took a painfully long time. Food was mediocre and a bit overpriced. Staff were pleasant and friendly however.

Very cute hotel in a historic district close to Doune castle. They are incredibly friendly here and I couldn't recommend it enough, I extended my stay while here, so glad I did.
