Thimblewynd Holiday Rental

Romantic holiday cottage with hot tub in Dunning, Scotland. Sleeps 2. Situated in a sleepy village with local pub. An hour from both Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Thimblewynd is situated in the conservation area of the Historic Village of Dunning. The Cottage is newly renovated and is a typical terraced cottage of the 1860s.
The 1st floor consists of a large bedroom with a king sized brass bed, this leads into a luxurious drench ensuite shower room. The living room is on the ground floor, there is a leather sofa for two, which is perfect, to cosy up and enjoy the crackling of a log burning stove on a chilly evening. The galley kitchen is small but has all mod cons, including a dishwasher, induction stove and microwave.
What is not typical of Thimblewynd is its large but secluded back garden, This can be accessed from the kitchen as well as a vennel, allowing for easy, but safe storage of bikes, canoes etc.
The Hot Tub of course is the perfect place to relax of an evening and star gaze, whether that is on a cool summer evening or in the middle of winter.
Adam and I have recently refurbished Thimblewynd with the aim of creating a romantic hideaway for couples who are looking to take some time out together, but don’t always have the luxury of time!
Talking of Luxury, Gleneagles is only10 miles away with its golf course and 4 restaurants, including the 2 Michelin star Andrew Fairlie Restaurant. Dunning, however for the more pocket conscious boasts its own Golf Course, Tennis courts and 2 village pubs, both serving excellent food.
