Thirlestane Castle Caravan Park

Our family have taken up a summer pitch for our touring van at Thirlestane Castle caravan park and we cannot recommend this site enough. It is surrounded by the beautiful grounds of Thirlestane Castle itself and a five minute walk into Lauder. The toilet and shower facilities are always clean and tidy and the site grounds are maintained regularly. There are so many walks to choose from whether you are looking for a gentle stroll or something a bit more challenging. You only need to visit once to know you will be back :)

What a brilliant place to come too. The views are amazing, having a castle on your doorstep. The place is spotless, the grounds are well kept to high standards. And the staff bend over backwards to help and get things done asap. Best place to make your 2nd home. Can't recommend it highly enough

I have just moved to this site from another with my static van. I was made to feel very welcome from the managers(Scott and Lesley) nothing was a problem.Edward the owner of the site visits frequently and takes the time to stop and chat . The park site is so clean and well maintained ,facilities are first class with all you could possibly need for a short or long stay. Fabulous grounds to stroll and pets are welcome.Daily walkabout from the managers inspecting the site so friendly- helpful and welcome any comments/suggestions you may have. The castle is just a short walk away and host events throughout the year.I would personally recommend this caravan park to family and friends.I have been so impressed that I have upgraded to a brand new static caravan. Come visit you will not be disappointed.

brilliant place to stay - tent, tourer or static. couples, kids, pets - this caravan park caters for all. lovely swing park and plenty of grassy areas for kids to play on. the dog walking in the area is second to none. as for the facilities - toilet blocks modern and spotless and the park itself very well maintained. Thirlestane Castle itself is a stones throw from the park and a fantastic discount is given if you are staying on the park and want to visit the castle. The owners are very hands on and visit the caravan site daily. The park managers helpful, sincere and honest (Lesley and Scot), not to mention very hard working and the grounds staff are exactly the same. I cant speak highly enough of this caravan site. having owned a touring van for many years and having visited many caravan sites in my day, this caravan park would be number 1. The toilet and showering facilities are immaculate and very modern. the pitches have views to die for, the grass is cut twice a week, the dog walks are amazing, the cost is cheap and we are overlooked by Thirlestane Castle itself. Finally, the park managers Scott and Lesley are two of the nicest, friendliest and most helpful people i have ever met, nothing is a problem. Edward, the owner is lovely as well. If i could give it more than 5 stars then i would. To all with a touring caravan or tent please visit this beautiful park.
