Hope you're all keeping well and enjoying the sunshine when you can get out. This was from a couple of months ago for a lady who loves handbags.

This cake went out a few weeks ago. Got to admit I'm jealous of the wee guy on it - I'd love to be on top of a hill right now! But got to stay home and stay safe 💙

A mermaid cake for my gorgeous wee niece who had her party last month before lockdown. My heart goes out to all the kids (and adults) who can’t have friends and family to celebrate with them just now.

This is what happens when you can't bake in lockdown! Saw this in a baking group and thought it was too cute not to share.

I know some folk might disagree but cake isn't essential food 😉 Also I don't want to be bulk buying flour and eggs for cakes when people are struggling to get them to feed their families. Stay safe everyone xx

If anyone in Clackmannan needs shopping, prescriptions or school meals delivered because they are self isolating - get in touch with Lesley at Clackmannan Development Trust. I can't make cakes during lockdown so I'm helping with this instead.

This was my last order before lockdown last week. Cupcakes for the 1st anniversary of one of my lovely bride and grooms last year. And some raspberry meringues I'd made for an event that was cancelled so I gave them to the staff at our health centre to give them a wee energy boost when they're so busy.

When you can't bake for customers - you bake a wee gift for NHS staff. Vanilla cupcakes and 3 trays of (socially distanced 😉) chocolate brownies. The lovely message I got was "We are grateful for Jenni's generosity in donating cupcakes and brownies to theatre staff at FVRH. The best cake we've ever tasted"

Today Thistle Do Icely is 7 years old and since I don’t have any baking to do I’m having a wee drink to celebrate. Thank you so much to everyone who has helped me in my journey. I never believed I could have come so far or built up a clientele of such kind, amazing customers who appreciate the love that goes into every cake and cupcake. Given the Scottish and UK Government announcement yesterday to shut all non-essential shops for the time being, I have to put my business on hold and cancel all orders for the next 3 weeks, or longer if lockdown continues.
It's absolutely heartbreaking to do this but I have to follow guidance to keep my family and all of yours safe. Tomorrow is Thistle Do Icely's 7th anniversary and it will be a very sad day not to be baking, taking orders or handing cakes over to happy cust...omers.
Please know I would love to still be creating your cakes but I must do the responsible thing. I will be in touch with everyone in date order of their bookings for the next 3 weeks. I am sure you understand as these circumstances are proving challenging to all of us.
Thank you so much to all my wonderful customers and followers, I'm grateful for every cake or cupcake you've bought and every comment, like or share on my page. In the meantime I'll get around to posting photos of cakes I've made but not had time to share.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the lovely mums and grannies out there. Hope you all managed to get at least a phone call or wave through the window from your loved ones in these strange times. These are some of the cupcake bouquets which were ordered for this weekend. I hope your mums enjoyed them!

COVID-19
In light of the current coronavirus situation it is important to ensure that the cake designer you have chosen is a legitimate business which is registered and insured with a council Environmental Health pass and have certificates to show they have the necessary training in food health and hygiene and correct handling procedures. Any legitimate business will be happy to produce these for you on request.
With regards to current orders it is business as usual unless w...e are advised otherwise.
I will be offering a contactless collection service from now until further notice, please contact me for further details. I would appreciate any balances being paid by bank transfer to limit cash handling.
In accordance with my terms and conditions, should your venue cancel your event please let me know asap to make new arrangements. I will do my best to accommodate any new date set and transfer your deposit to it.
If your cake is due within any nationwide lockdown period that comes into effect then your order will be cancelled and the deposit can be transferred to another date/order. Should I be unable to accommodate the alternative date then your deposit will be refunded in full.
If you cancel your order due to Covid-19 then your deposit can be transferred to another date and will only be refunded if that date is unavailable. If you cancel with less than a weeks notice I will have to take into consideration any expenses up to that point (ingredients purchased, decorations made, my time).
In the event that myself or a member of my household contracts the virus then all orders will be cancelled until the government recommended quarantine period has passed. I will do my best to contact other bakers in my network to see if they can take your order instead. You will be contacted to discuss transferring the deposit to another order or a refund at the earliest opportunity. Please allow for an element of delay in responding to any messages should this be the case. Apologies for any inconvenience which may result.
