A good simple venue for a cup of coffee. It was very busy, hard to get a table, and the staff were clearly stressed. I feel that the venue was considerably lacking in personality or style for a modern day coffee shop - being more laid out like something from the 70’s. Twice I ordered a coffee and was not offered a receipt (for my expenses) and the member of staff simply crumpled the receipt and threw it in a bin. This kind of behaviour makes me nervous for the owners! A bit disappointing for the West End of Glasgow, to be honest.

Cool coffee shop, nice atmosphere, open late (10/11 pm). Also has tasty vanilla cheesecake :)

Their coffee is splendid..I also make a point of going there nearly every day..It's because of those cookies that they keep in a jar next to tills..But you must remember to try the ones that don't have smarties in them..There are two types.. Plain ones..Sensational !!

tinderbox is my favourite West End coffee shop, amongst a plethora of competition. A relaxing, friendly place to read the papers or chat to friends. Great coffee and a good selection of teas.

Nice and roomy, compare with your corporate coffee shops. Great choice of cakes to go with your afternoon coffee.

It can get busy, but it's a nice place to have a coffee or tea (and cake). Good venue for an informal meeting.

Typical Starbucks like care with overpriced, premade sandwiches and overpriced coffee. But we are (somehow) used to to be overcharged for coffee so that is not a problem. Problem may be to get a table at times of get a clean table. Overall I like the climate over there and like many other customers, I return there more often than I should.

A standard coffee shop with decent coffee and tea. The food selection isn't great. I think the main reason people flock to this place is because of its location and its late opening hours - both handy if you're in the West End. Still, there are better places on and around Byres Road.

Busy cafe with delicious drinks! Reasonable prices, friendly service, fast Wi-Fi. Seating can sometimes be an issue for groups larger than 4

Overpriced coffee and pretty disinterested staff. Not a welcoming place but central on Byres road. Give it a miss and walk over the road

Lovely coffee, fab selection of cakes and pastries. When walking down Byres road on a cold day and in need of somewhere cozy with a warm brew, this is the place I'd choose. Can be busy at times though.
