Went for a birthday meal with my gran, food was great as usual but what really stood out was the service. My gran drinks in and bitter lemon and as they didn't stock bitter lemon the guy went to the shop just to buy it for my gran! Made her feel really special on her birthday. Thank you!

Tinto has a beautiful lunch time menu that caters for all. Always managed to be seated and the staff are very attentive. I have recommended tinto to my friends and family. Really enjoyed my experience here as did my friends x

Love this wee place in Battlefield, offers good value for money, excellent service. Don't miss their Tuesday and night and Sunday offers but for those you need to make sure you book in advance.

Irene & I have been going here since the week it opened & it never fails to impress. Tight space but, is very reminiscent of Tapas Bars I have been to in Spain. Service good and food excellent. We are already looking forward to our next visit���

Great food and even greater staff. Fitted us in even though we had messed up an online booking. Can’t praise this place highly enough.

Food was fantastic! Staff were run off their feet as the place was so busy but great service even if we did have to wait almost 30 mins on our table! ������

Can't recommend this place enough... went tonight for first time ever after my partner seen the reviews and it won't be our last.... staff were so lovely and attentive, cocktails were lovely, food was outstanding! Wish our home town of Ayr had a wee place like this... well done Tinto Tapas See you again soon!

Came along yesterday with Granddaughter her treat to me for Mother's Day, what a lovely time we had yet again, waiter as always couldn't do enough for us, and the food was absolutely beautiful and cooked to perfection, wine was superb, love this wee gem of a place, see you soon guys xx

Booked a table for the better half and myself for Valentine's Day on the special menu. Arrived early and promptly taken to a table - thank you. Waited what seemed like forever for our starters to arrive then again for our main and our dessert. Had to actually ask the waitress for our food. Another customer ordered dessert after us and received it before us. It seemed a regular customer attending took a lot of the staffs time - including the manager and chef! When we asked for the bill, we were still left waiting - so much that we paid at the door and left. Not the experience I was hoping for. Have been several times before and always praised the experience. Food was just as good but left disappointed........

My family and I went to this restaurant this evening to celebrate my birthday. The food was delicious and the service was good considering how busy it was. At the end of our meal, we asked for the bill but we had to wait a good 20 minutes or so. Obviously, we put that down to the fact it was mobbed.



Then, a waiter came over and asked us to leave but we had not been given the bill yet. Therefore, we couldn't. Perhaps there was some confusion between the staff.



When the bill finally came, we immediately put a card down to pay. Again, we waited for another 10 minutes or so before the card machine was brought over.



However, once we had finally managed to pay one of the waiters came over again and prompted us to leave because 'this table is booked. People have been waiting for 15 minutes!'. Also, he stated that 'each table has a limit of 1.5 hours'. Now, at absolutely no point - from making the reservation to when we were paying our bill - did any of the staff mention that we only had the table for 1.5 hours. I proceeded to check with each person at the table to see if they had been told that this was the case.



Surprise, surprise, not a single person with me (and there were four of us) had been told about the 1.5 hour rule. The waiter, with a shaved head and a beard, was incredibly rude to my family and I. If you make it your policy to only give each table 1.5 hours to eat then make sure that is communicated with your customers. Also, don't take out your stress out on your customers. It is very, very unprofessional.



Safe to say, I will not be going back there. Considering the fact that the food was lovely, as was everything else, it is a real shame.

We have visited Tinto on many occasions and always enjoyed it. However, my sister booked a table for 14 people for our birthday night out tonight, this table was booked on the 12th January but when we turned up tonight at 715 for the table we were told that there had been an error with the booking system and they were unable to honour our booking... they also informed us that this error had been recognised earlier in the day but nobody bothered to make contact with us to let us know. I am shocked that you find this an acceptable way to treat customers, especially when as I mentioned the table had been booked for over 2 weeks. As you can imagine trying to find a alternative restaurant at that time on a Saturday for that amount of people was not easy so our whole night was basically ruined. Tinto was always a firm favourite for us when planning get togethers but after tonight it is safe to say it will not be any longer.
