Some replaced items to freshen things up. Out goes the old rusty table replaced now with new table and chairs. Struthan Cottage also welcomes new, powerful Henry Hoover!

Don't forget Struthan Cottage is pet friendly accepting up to 2 well behaved dogs. After all, they're part of the family and deserve their holidays too. It's Tiree Music Festival this weekend! Thousands of people have descended on the island for TMF, including us! We're using the opportunity to work at the cottage during daytime (and enjoy ourselves in the evening!). Here's some of the action from last night!

Tiree - The Sunshine Island
It's been a beautiful week on Tiree. The blue skies have been BIG. The sand is white. The sea crystal clear blues and greens. Even better....Temperatures this week were approaching the Canaries. Who needs to go outwith Scotland when we have unspoiled scenery like this!

Outdoor Tidyup
Was almost a pleasure working outside today. Another very hot, sunny day. Benches and tables all double coated in wood stain, garden tidied, weeds removed and grass cut at back and front of the cottage. With views over to the sea on 2 sides, it was hard not to get distracted by the scenery. Time for a beer! www.struthancottages.co.uk

Another fine day!
Weather is absolutely stunning again today. There's nothing better than sitting outside the cottage. Silent except for the gentle wind, birds tweeting and the noise of the plane coming in on the other side of the island. Looking across the loch, buttercup and cloverfields towards the sea.
Sitting with a coffee and toast outside in the morning sun, clearing a few emails before the day gets properly started. This is a day to close the laptop.

Summer has well and truly arrived in the west of Scotland. We're here on holiday and have enjoyed 4 days of amazing warm, sunny weather.
We're suntanned and spent loads of time with family on the beach. There's also been perfect opportunity to tidy the garden at the cottage, cut all the grass and freshen things up with a little maintenance.
