Friday mornings class, the Vikings phone was playing up a little(upgrade coming). However the effort on show was off the charts. All the class had wee niggles,knocks,long standing aches and pains but all gave it 100% without complaining,all the effort went into completing each exercise and cheering on their fellow bootcampers. We had two double class diamonds staying in after female only kickboxing Laura and Lynn and you couldn't tell they had already done a class. We had a new tribee Miriam who didn't let the rest of the class know she was new with her output. Veteran tribees Jenny and Emma smashed the class as they usually do, all in all an excellent class to finish the week off.

WHATS COOKIN WEDNESDAY
WARMING SWEET POTATO AND GINGER SOUP
INGREDIENTS... 1kg sweet potato, skin on, roughly chopped 2 eating apples, such as braeburn, cored and cut into wedges 1 tbsp olive oil 2 tbsp coconut oil 1 onion, finely chopped 2 tsp coriander seeds, crushed 2 tsp cumin seeds, crushed 20g fresh ginger, grated 400ml full-fat coconut milk 750ml good quality vegetable stock 1 tsp salt Greek yogurt and fresh coriander leaves to serve
METHOD 01. Heat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan/gas 6. Spread the sweet potato pieces and apple wedges in a large roasting tray, drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Roast for 40-45 minutes until softened and golden. 02. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, heat the coconut oil. Add the onion and fry over a low-medium heat for 5 minutes. Add the coriander and cumin seeds, then fry for a further 5-10 minutes until fragrant. 03. Add the ginger, coconut milk, stock and salt, then bring to a gentle simmer. Once the sweet potato and apple are cooked, carefully add them to the pan. Simmer for a further 5 minutes, then remove from the heat. Use a stick blender to whizz the soup until smooth – wrap a tea towel around the pan to prevent the soup from splashing while you whizz it. (Or carefully blend in batches in a jug blender.) 04. Serve with a swirl of yogurt and a sprinkling of coriander. Have some crusty bread on hand for dunking.

WHATS COOKIN WEDNESDAY
TOMATO AND PARSLEY OMELETTE
INGREDIENTS... 1 large ripe tomato or 2 medium tomatoes, sliced Small handful of fresh parsley, finely chopped Drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil 2 large free-range eggs 1 tsp finely grated parmesan 1 spring onion, finely sliced Drizzle of olive oil or knob of butter
METHOD 01.Toss the tomatoes with the parsley and extra-virgin olive oil in a bowl. Put the eggs, parmesan and spring onion in another bowl and beat with a fork. Season well. Put the oil or butter in a frying pan over a medium heat. When hot, pour in the egg mix and swirl so it coats the bottom of the pan. As the edges cook, pull them into the centre with a wooden spoon so the uncooked egg runs into the gaps. Repeat until the egg is almost all cooked and the bottom is golden, then gently flip over and cook for 1 minute or so on the underside. 02.When the omelette is cooked but still a little soft in the middle, slide it out of the pan and onto a plate. Season the tomato, tip it onto one half of the omelette, then fold the other half over. Serve immediately.

BEETROOT AND FETA BURGERS
INGREDIENTS... 400g raw beetroot, peeled and coarsely grated Small bunch spring onions, finely chopped 2 garlic cloves, crushed Small bunch fresh mint, chopped Finely grated zest and juice 1 lemon 3 tbsp plain flour 1 medium free-range egg 200g feta, crumbled 5 tbsp olive oil 200g mixed salad leaves
To serve 4 burger buns (optional)
METHOD 01.Working over the sink, wrap the grated beetroot in a clean J-cloth and squeeze out as much liquid as possible. In a large bowl, mix the beetroot, spring onions, garlic, mint, lemon zest, half the lemon juice, 2 tbsp of the flour and the egg, along with a good pinch of salt and pepper. When well combined, stir in the feta.
02.Form the mixture into 4 burger-shaped patties and coat with the remaining flour. Heat a large frying pan over a medium-high heat with 3 tbsp olive oil and fry the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until crisp on the outside and cooked through.
03.Mix the remaining oil and lemon juice with a pinch of salt and pepper and toss with the salad leaves. Serve the burgers in buns with the salad.

I started AMB reluctantly with friends. Im shocked how much I enjoy it. I've only been going a fortnight, I joined the get fit for Christmas program and it's great. I like the encouragement given and being part of the team. A lot better than training at gym alone and I personally feel a lot fitter. My b-active membership is gonna be non active !

I joined the Bootcamp mainly to encourage my daughter into getting fitter, I do my own fitness and didn't really think it'd be challenging enough for me but I was wrong, it's absolutely fantastic and so diverse, there's a bit of everything in it and the motivation and encouragement from the other teams members is fantastic. The instructors are great motivators! It's great It's a whole new way of doing fitness for me and more importantly it's really enjoyable. Definitely recommended to anyone thinking of giving it a go. Only been doing it two weeks and already seeing the benefits ��

I have been going to boot camp for over a year. Really enjoy the classes , always varied. When I started I couldn't put my weight on my right wrist after a bad break. Can now do press ups no bother. Has helped my fitness and my injury. Best move I made and have fun at same time with a great tribe

I can honesty say bootcamp is just part of my life now. Jason and the other coaches keep you on your toes and help you push to your maximum. There are 14 classes a week available so there is no excuse not to get 3-4 classes per week. We love bootcamp xx

Gyms and I were never friends until I started here, after completing my TMF parents challenge, 4 weeks training, 5kg lighter and so much more energy everyday, I enjoyed it so much I am now a regular at the gym, and the weight loss it slow but steady, great classes tailored to suit your fitness levels, great group of people and very enthusiastic instructors, who are always available for advice. Whatever you fitness level give it a try you will be surprised just how quickly you can change your current lifestyle for the better.

Cant do, wont do, there is no such thing, if you want look good, you have to work for it, I joined bootcamp in december 2012. It was the best thing I have ever done, not only am I getting my body in shape, but the way I think about food and exercise now has a whole other meaning. Why not come down and see what all the fuss is about for yourself. As for our trainer jason aston you get exactly what he advertises, wouldn,t go anywhere else, so get your butts of the couch and down to the studio to find out what we are all about, once you enter the studio I can guarantee you will be coming back for more.

Brilliant fun. I can already see changes in my body muscles are appearing lol. My fitness has improved drastically from the start (4 weeks ago) and the scales and inches are reducing! Always buzzing for the rest of the day after class.

It has been the best thing I have done been going to bootcamp for two years and has helped me whith confidence Jason has helped me to lose the weight the exercise are brilliant it's the rocking bootcamp the tribe are all friendly Jason will help you to get whare you whant to be whith your weight and fitness

I started AMB reluctantly with friends. Im shocked how much I enjoy it. I've only been going a fortnight, I joined the get fit for Christmas program and it's great. I like the encouragement given and being part of the team. A lot better than training at gym alone and I personally feel a lot fitter. My b-active membership is gonna be non active !

I joined the Bootcamp mainly to encourage my daughter into getting fitter, I do my own fitness and didn't really think it'd be challenging enough for me but I was wrong, it's absolutely fantastic and so diverse, there's a bit of everything in it and the motivation and encouragement from the other teams members is fantastic. The instructors are great motivators! It's great It's a whole new way of doing fitness for me and more importantly it's really enjoyable. Definitely recommended to anyone thinking of giving it a go. Only been doing it two weeks and already seeing the benefits ��

I have been going to boot camp for over a year. Really enjoy the classes , always varied. When I started I couldn't put my weight on my right wrist after a bad break. Can now do press ups no bother. Has helped my fitness and my injury. Best move I made and have fun at same time with a great tribe

I can honesty say bootcamp is just part of my life now. Jason and the other coaches keep you on your toes and help you push to your maximum. There are 14 classes a week available so there is no excuse not to get 3-4 classes per week. We love bootcamp xx

Gyms and I were never friends until I started here, after completing my TMF parents challenge, 4 weeks training, 5kg lighter and so much more energy everyday, I enjoyed it so much I am now a regular at the gym, and the weight loss it slow but steady, great classes tailored to suit your fitness levels, great group of people and very enthusiastic instructors, who are always available for advice. Whatever you fitness level give it a try you will be surprised just how quickly you can change your current lifestyle for the better.

Cant do, wont do, there is no such thing, if you want look good, you have to work for it, I joined bootcamp in december 2012. It was the best thing I have ever done, not only am I getting my body in shape, but the way I think about food and exercise now has a whole other meaning. Why not come down and see what all the fuss is about for yourself. As for our trainer jason aston you get exactly what he advertises, wouldn,t go anywhere else, so get your butts of the couch and down to the studio to find out what we are all about, once you enter the studio I can guarantee you will be coming back for more.

Brilliant fun. I can already see changes in my body muscles are appearing lol. My fitness has improved drastically from the start (4 weeks ago) and the scales and inches are reducing! Always buzzing for the rest of the day after class.

Bootcamp is friggin hard. But it's ace fun at the same time. A brilliant bunch of people who make you welcome straight away. Highly recommend these classes!

Been going since the start of November and loving it. Lost weight but best thing is I m definitely feeling a lot fitter. Everyone is friendly and encouraging. Would definitely recommend.

Awesome classes from the three instructors. I joined the kickboxing club and stayed for bootcamp, there's something for everyone.
