Stayed for the rally. Angus is really helpful and switched on. Chris taxi is also good
A nice site but very limited shower facilities and a half hour walk from Tobermory.
An okay campsite, located within a mile or so of Tobermory itself. The pitches themselves aren't all that inspiring, though it has a sufficient facilities. Nothing much in the way of views, but peaceful and quiet surroundings.
Had everything i needed and there is a local taxi to take you to and from the town for a few beers in the town which has a selection of places to drink. The walk from the campsite is 30 mins and uphill on the way back so i would recommend the taxi.
Wifi is ok but no phone signal here just like a lot of Scotland
Good location for Tobermory but facilities are very poor and not adequate on this site.
Only 1 Female shower and 1 Male shower (which worked OK), just 2 Female Toilets ,2 Male Toilets and 4 Washbasins for the whole site. The hot water in the basins just about trickled out and the buildings are not much better than outside sheds.
The washing up sinks are outside with nowhere to put your post,pans etc and you risk getting bitten by the midges so if you stay there you need to buy a head-net and insect repellent.
At £20.00 per night I expected better than this . This site needs some money spent on it and some serious updating. People expect better than this in 2017.
The owner Angus is a nice friendly cheerful guy.
Internet only available at one particular spot and would benefit from a gazebo around it so you can use it without being bitten by the midges.
Great wee place ! Very handy for the town & a great welcome from Angus! Will definitely be back!
The owners are very helpful. The facility good bur room for improvement. The tenting field is in the wrong place. Under trees, by a river and out of the wind, sound good but the midges swarm there on damp days.
