Tom Duffin - Weephotos Of Edinburgh Description
This weePhotos page is my way of meeting my audience, and finding out which of my photos are the most popular. It's a great way to chat to folk who love seeing pictures of Edinburgh and Scotland, and to share their stories and memories.
I was pleased to win a commendation in the Landscape Photographer of The Year competition in 2014, and feature in the accompanying book.
I teach photography, either in groups or a 1 to 1 basis. I'm available to run photographic tours of Edinburgh for experienced photographer visitors, or folk new to photography, to take the best advantage of Edinburgh's Photographic delights. Email me to discuss your needs on tom@weephotos. co. uk
Curse Warning: I love to share my thoughts along the way, so be prepared for a rant, a joke, or a lengthy diatribe about nothing at all, sometimes employing colourful language. It's all part of the weePhotos package.
I also write a wordpress blog which often features photos not posted here - over at http://weephotos. wordpress.com/

SaltnSaucy fingered...tummies full of hot battered deliciousness...their faces followed the sun like sunflowers...as it sank slowly below the bridges.
Canny beat a Newhaven fish supper at sunset.
Exciting things happening round our bit. It would be great to see you all at this.
Naughty sun...
...was late getting up this morning...so I managed to catch it just sliding out of the duvet above Edinburgh
Stirling Sunset
It growled over Leith...snuffing out most of the light...
...then grumbled its way over the Forth to Inchkeith island to empty its bladder.
Spotlight on EDI
I remember going to Turnhouse airport...as it was then...and standing on the outside terracey thing to wave at my Aunt Rina & Uncle Jimmy as they arrived...the exotic creatures...by aeroplane...from some far off land.
I'm pretty sure I wore shorts that day too...and had "Knock-Knees"
Caught Big Lizzie sleeping under a bridge again the other night...weather was foul too.
Clouds...I love 'em.
Yeah...they can be bringers of great misery...dampeners of undergarments...as well as spirits...but when you've had a day shrouded in their gloomy grey...with soul sucking perpetuous precipitation...those moments when they part... as if some bibilcal figure has struck a long knotted stick on the ground and screamed a commandment...they can be moments of genuine wonderment...and justifiable awe...a glimpse of a hidden kingdom...the workings of a hidden hand.
It also helps if Edinburgh Castle and the clustered spires of the Old Town are in the centre of this heaven's gate. April...showers...who knew eh?
Wake up Lizzie...you have an appointment to get yer arse inspected.
The aircraft carrier Queen Elizabeth sailed under the Forth bridges at low tide on Wednesday morning, and sat at anchor until they tried entering dry dock at Rosyth the next day.
The wind was too strong so they abandoned that attempt, and were trying again today, which may or may not have been a success - reports from bridge crossers tonight would be appreciated.
... I think Lizzie is digging her nails in as they pull her in, cos she really doesn't want to go - seeing as they're going to inspect and scrape her bottom.
This was her at sunrise today.

Fireflies at Old College.
To mark 20 years of the charity Firefly International founded by Edinburgh University student Ellie Maxwell, the beautiful quadrangle at the heart of the Department of Law has been lit by this installation by artist Bruce Munro.
Ellie founded the charity which supports children and young folk in areas of conflict across the world, but she sadly died from cancer 10 years later. To continue her legacy Firefly announced The Ellie Maxwell Award which offers £500 of funding and support for University of Edinburgh students who develop innovative ideas and projects to promote social change through their charities.
The quiet where you can't hear yourself think...
...but you can hear your heart beating.
Forced to stand alone for 30 seconds at a time as your camera sucks in every last lumen of light...you realise that the still quietness is full of life...full of soft noises...and sudden distant quacky eruptions...blooping submergings from the dusky water...with even the twisting, whispering vortex of a bat's wings lending susurrations to this orchestral performance of twilight...the Linlithgow Sonata
Sunrise baby...
Forth Bridges Fifification...
....trying saying that with yer teef oot.
