After deciding to put our house on the market we were visited by several estate agents, but what separated Town & Country from the rest was that it wasn't just a sales pitch that we received, we felt that they really cared about our situation and they took the time to understand our needs.

Duncan, who came to visit us from Town & Country had excellent knowledge of the local market and had a clear understanding of how quickly similar houses in the area were selling. This gave us a lot of comfort as we had no idea how well houses were selling locally.

Town & Country's fees were less than a lot of the other estate agents we spoke to, but to be honest, even if they were slightly more expensive we would still have chosen them.

Town & Country got our house on the market quite quickly, and believe it or not, they managed to get someone to come and view the house within 1 hour of it going on the market!! They went on to make an offer which we accepted. So it took a total of 3 days for Town & Country to sell our house.

I also want to point out that we were very impressed with all the staff that we dealt with at Town & Country. Lorna in particular helped guide us through the whole process and was happy to answer all of my questions.

Went out of our way to view a property and based our whole days plans around this. Travelled a significant journey to get there. I confirmed on the phone this viewing 2 days prior to double check it was still good to go and was told yes (it had been a day and time of their suggestion initially)

The agent did not show up. I phoned and was told oh he should be there soon. Phoned again after 20 minutes and was told that it was unlikely he would be there now as he was "caught up somewhere". So if I had never phoned to check we would have been left there with nobody getting in touch. It was clearly an excuse and they couldn't have cared less. Complete wasted day. This was a property we were very serious about buying but the attitude towards buyers is apalling.

Sellers beware.
