Went with my wife and sister in law. We all had the battered fish .Was excellent. Waitress was very nice , service was great , food was great , great atmosphere in the place . All in all a very pleasant experience.....

Up from Newcastle for a short break in Lower Largo. Popped up to Dundee for the day, and went in the Trades for a sit down - pint and her indoors had a pot of tea. What a fantastic pub - lovely traditional (and spotlessly clean interior) lay out with various snugs. Friendly people, staff and ambience. Great way to while away an hour reading the papers! A Dundee gem!!

Recommeded to our group by a taxi driver as a good cheap pub with good food. Highly recommend the Haddock. Good choice of drinks aswell, they stock my favourite draught Heverlee. Decorated very well for a pub. Lots to look at and enjoy.

Really good place to go for a drink or a bite to eat . Staff are friendly and the bar is spotless

Never ever had a bad meal in all the years weve been going there.....excellent service from both the waiting and bar staff obviously well trained...but like it most of all for the atmosphere...it is so so cosy...would recommend anytime...thanks xx

Great food at very reasonable price and service was excellent.

Fabulous fish and chips I had mine breaded, my daughter had hers battered. Both fish were falling over the ends of the plate. The lady who served is was just so lovely. I'm sure she has been working there for quite a long time x

Fab pub! Very friendly & helpful staff and quick service. Really enjoyed our supper, my breaded peterhead haddock and mum's battered was brilliant, best fish & chips we have both had in ages!

Dropped in for Sunday tea with my husband,went for the 2 stakes and a bottle of wine for 28 pound deal,well worth it ,the red wine was lovely , and was a huge plate. We ate in the snug ,the waiter was great never had to move out the chair once we sat down ,service quick too,will be back for that deal again .

Bloody marvellous.... great atmosphere and great food .. and served by a lovely Irish girl who bent over backwards to be helpful ... defo go back there the next time I’m in Dundee

Although very busy we were given menus within a couple of minutes and asked if we wanted anything to drink. There was plenty to choose from the menu, our order was taken shortly later , our main was lovely well presented and good sized potions. Now let’s talk about the sweets , I had sticky toffee pudding with ice cream when it arrived I didn’t know whether to climb it or eat it it was absolutely delicious. My daughter choose Brambly apple pie she had the choice of fresh cream, ice cream, custard she choose the custard, again the potion was large.

The service was excellent and the food superb I will visit the next time am in Dundee

Yesterday I visited with a friend & had the chilli cheese burger & as good as it was it wasn't as hot as it should be. Yes i couldve returned it but I ate it anyway. Still recommend a visit as it's a friendly atmosphere & service was very good.

Warm, friendly atmosphere. Good bar staff who appeared to be short handed, but did a great job in spite of some customers not showing much patience.

Great pint and atmosphere but the staff need a bit of training on how to pour a proper vodka and tonic.

Very busy bar staff were good .Only fault was if you were having a pint in a seated area u were asked to give it up for people who were having food ,But it would not put me of having a pint here again

A decent bar with great atmosphere in a central location within Dundee city centre. Unfortunately some of the staff do not have a clue how to pour a pint. I had to complain to a barmaid about the amount of Guiness on the outside of my glass, dripping all over your clothes and shoes if not careful. I watched all the other staff pouring various beers and every one is poured so that it is coming over the top. The bar area is soaking and the place smells because of it. Unfortunate because it has always been a good bar.
