At the Trauma Recovery Clinic we provide one-to-one treatment for people who are suffering emotional and psychological difficulties or physical pain conditions following prolonged stress, trauma, or severely distressing or threatening experiences. Traumatic stress or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and accompanying pain conditions, can follow events in which grave physical, mental or emotional harm occurred or was threatened. These include unrelenting stress, violence or abuse of any kind, accidents, disasters, medical intervention, assaults, or involvement in war or conflict. We provide specialist treatment for psychological distress and nervous system dysregulation, and for acute and chronic pain conditions and syndromes.
