If anyone is interested in the Cambridge University Badminton Club trials, heres the message again in case you missed it:
CUBaC Main Squad: 45 players who represent the University in BUCS and South Cambs League. We train approx. twice per week at the University Sports Centre (USC) plus weekly strength & conditioning and matches. We are lucky to have Daniel Bates as our coach once per week.
... CUBaC Development Squad: 24 players who train once per week to improve their skills. This was a new venture two years ago, and has proven very popular. It is coached by members of the CUBaC Committee, and is held at the USC.
If you're a competitive College League player, and you would like regular training with drills and fitness training, come along to our squad trials on 12th & 13th October 2019 (all details on cubac.org/join-us). We'll decide whether you're suitable for the Main Squad or the Development Squad, and if we later decide that we made a mistake, promotion from the Dev Squad is possible.
I realise that the demand for both these squads will be higher than the number of places, and it is personally frustrating for me that we cannot offer more places. We are slowly expanding what we offer (with the Dev Squad for example) but are limited mostly by court space at the USC, and financial considerations.

Hello everyone, hope you're having a good break! Just want to thank all of you for playing badminton this term - you have no idea how happy it makes me when I see the trinity courts fully booked every day of the week :D.
... I hope everyone had a chance to train with our coach Jack this term. Either way, please fill in the form so I can decide whether we want more/less coaching next term! I heard Sahil Mali wants to cut coaching and spend the money on a $250,000 Hawkeye Judge system… I'm going to write a summary of this terms results shortly - TLDR all of you really did Trinity proud :).

STASH UPDATE
The final order will be sent to the supplier this Thursday (the 8th November) at 12 noon.
Sorry for the wait - stash has been problematic in organising but we're nearly there! There has been some changes:
... 1) The tracksuit bottoms have been dropped as it didn't seem to be very popular and the supplier was asking for a min order of 10. 2) After a bit of misunderstanding, the prices quoted were actually excluding VAT.
But:
3) We now have subsidy from the college for the tops, shorts and shorts (1/3 off)
The spreadsheet has been amended accordingly - please change (if you want) and (definitely) double your order.

Just as a reminder, *Jack, our professional coach, will be at our courts tomorrow 8-10pm*! Everyone is welcome, for however long you can play for. Just drop me a quick message so I have an idea of how many to expect!
Kicking this page off with match updates - fantastic effort tonight from the girls!
W1 lost to Clinical School, 3 to 6, with some really intense rallies - Chloe and Emily were so close and took it all the way to 22 24! Claire and Isabella were the dream team, wi...nning one 21 5 with impossible saves and amazing smashes. Stacey and I kept it strong till the end, winning one 21 10 and hitting a streak of 10 points.
W2 won against Caius, 6 to 3. We saw an amazing attacks by Aina and solid defence by Aina, Connie and Vasu had some fantastic rallys, Isabella and I gave it our all though the previous matches had gotten the better of us by this point! Thankfully Caius had to forfeit a few matches without a full team, however they did a fantastic job, especially with one incredible Erasmus student... Mens watch out for their M1!
