Good little station with a decent sized car park.

It was great to have not far from our accommodation, easy to use and purchase your ticket on board not at the station. My only complaint is, it was very busy with only 2 carriages now considering it was school holidays, fringe festival and high tourist season another carriage in my opinion was needed. This had obviously been an ongoing problem as on our return they apologised for the overcrowding!

Excellent location for walks along the Tweed to Melrose. For Taxi's Google local taxi firm Allied Cabs (Local area only) 5 Minutes train run to the shops in Galashiels or under an hour to Edinburgh City Centre.

Used this as a park-and-ride to Edinburgh for the day. Good modern car park with cctv and free for rail users, this is how transport should be, well done Borders Railway. Only gripe is that what looks like a station building is in fact a staffroom, you have to walk round the other way and use a self-service ticket machine on the platform. This was easy enough to use but some clear direction signs wouldn't go amiss for first-time visitors.
