Sorry to read the previous posts, must say I have never felt like that about Valerios , staff have always been very helpful and the food has always been good.

I have found in life that if you complain in a civil way ( and I am not saying others didn't) staff usually respond likewise.

Fantastic. Best fish and chips ever. Would highly recommend

Delicious fish and chips, cheery staff. It was busy with local people & visitors. I shall be back next time I am in the town.

Best Fish and Chips in whole of Lanarkshire. The batter is so crispy not like anywhere else. Always get a fish freshly made from scratch none of this reheat carry on! Lol. Used to live out the place it was that good! Service is always very good even when busy.

Stopped off for a quick lunch on a day trip round the area. Ordered a fish lunch for me and a fish bites kids meal for my young companion.

Both were well presented and very tasty. Prompt and friendly service. No complaints at all.

It was very busy on a Saturday evening, but the food was good and hot and my daughter cleared her plate. The batter on the fish was lovely.

I love this eatery, great service and food is fab, yesterday was our first time sitting in the cafe are, for coffee and filled rolls. My only criticism I have is that we ordered 2 bacon and a roll n sausage, the roll had a little bit of margarine spred in the middle of the roll and they only put one sausage in the roll. Great place to stop. Will be back.

Been going there for 4 years introduced 8 people there yesterday they enjoyed there meals but i found my Haddock was to much batter on it i usually thank the kitchen staff after i start to leave but first complaint in 4 years so i will return .

Whilst waiting for my order , I watched them putting open a bag of chip's and put into fryer.I thought they where hand cut potato chips , would have been better going to iceland .To be honest they didn't taste much better not a proper chippy 🤔

Never again will we visit your place, wife and I popped for a quick bit to eat, waited almost 30 mins to receive our order, whilst other customers who entered after us got their order rather quickly, staff members too busy chatting to each other

Went to valerio,s today and we went in and sat down and are table was not clean and there was only 2 member of staff and we waiting a long time to get severd and the lady came over to clean the table and said she will c9me to serve us but nope we wait for a othwr long hour and she went over to a other table makeing us feel like were invisible so after that we got so fed up and left and they never even watch us leave such a disspointment in customer service i could do a bettr job at cleaning table a god knows what aka thrle food is probbly good but we never got anything. ��

We stopped in to the takeaway at lunchtime today. Food was cooked fresh & tasted nice, so no complaints in that way but the way the young staff were being treated left a very bad taste in my mouth.



I felt particularly bad for one of the younger members of staff in particular. I'm sure her name was Hannah. I was in the shop for approx 15mins while waiting on my fish being cooked, from what I could see this girl was being pleasant, polite, and hardworking - she was keeping up with her own duties whilst giving a lot of help & support to an obviously new member of staff who was learning to work the tills. The way she was treated and spoken to by the 'older' member of staff who was frying the food was quite honestly disgusting. In the time I was there this woman was consistently rude, condescending and snappy with this young girl - regularly raising her voice, making rude faces, rolling her eyes & throwing receipts at her. No-one should be treated like this at work. It's nothing short of bullying behaviour & I found it disgraceful that any adult thinks it's acceptable to treat another staff member in such a way. Even worse that this behaviour was being displayed to a full shop of customers (it was very busy at the time) - in my opinion this is a very bad look for any business.

To the heartless staff member, who turned away a 5yr old kid desperate for the toilet, hang your disgraceful head in shame. It's obviously the crime of the century to have to pee in emergency without paying. Let's hope no one has a near death experience or an emergency in or near your place. They will have to buy a bag of chips to get help. P*sh and Chips more like. No doubt you'll remove these negative posts as usual. But the word will get around.

This shop makes a large percentage of their money from schoolkids on their lunch-break. Sadly, they seem to treat the children with contempt. My step-daughter was running late due to extra studying and rushed to get lunch. She saw her younger brother near the front of the queue in Valerio's and asked him to get her a fritter roll. When it was his turn to be served, the lady behind the counter told him 'You can buy your chips, but I'm not giving you your sisters food. She can queue up herself'.

Needless nastiness.

My wife brought in my 5 yr old daughter who was bursting for the bathroom and was told by your member of staff that she wasn't allowed to use the bathroom and if she wanted to she could by a biscuit if she wanted to use it. This is exactly the kind of community spirit that sets you apart and not in a good way. Disgusted at your attitude and policy to refuse the bathroom to a 5 yr old. That's the last time I spend money in your shop. And I will be passing this message on as far and wide as possible.

Just got a king rib supper rotten burn to a crisp a dry absolute joke for the price of it won’t b back

Just binned 2 meals from here, a smoked sausage supper and a king rib supper, chips tasted burnt, king rib batter cremated, king rib dry, smoked sausage lukewarm, will never buy from here again

Got to be the most expensive chippy ever�

Horrible sour faced staff�

Very average food�

Never get your order correct �

Shop not the cleanest�

Only award this chippy would get is worst chippy ever �
