🦠COVID-19 Update🦠
In light of the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) the Vets4Pets Aberdeen team would like to update you with the measures we will be implementing to reduce risk/spread.
We ask you to help us to keep yourself, other clients and of course our staff safe. So we can continue to provide veterinary care to your pets, recommendations below as follows:
... - If you or someone you are in direct contact with has tested positive for COVID-19, or if are self isolating please contact us before accompanying your pet to the practice.
- If your pet requires an appointment please call first, our team can then asses whether your pet needs seen immediately, or if this can be a telephone consultation with one of our vets.
- If you have an appointment at the practice please ensure only ONE person is to accompany the pet into the practice.
- Operations and medical work-ups will still take place.
- On arrival at the practice please ensure to wash your hands, or use hand sanitiser before and after your appointment. We will however be providing disposable gloves, to minimise further risk to staff.
- We will be trying to limit the amount of cash payments, so we are kindly asking for all payments to be made by either card or, over the phone.
- If your pet requires a repeat prescription, please call to order this first. We will call you when this is ready for collection, we may also ask for payment over the phone. If you are unable to come collect the prescription due to self isolation, we can post this out.
- Please also ensure we have your correct contact details.
We request our clients to respect the guidelines we have implemented, and work with us to keep our patients, team members, and other safe.
We will update our clients if we receive further changes/restrictions from the government or our support office.
Thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.

🌟 🐶 Cover star of the month 🐶🌟
Since it is coming up for Spring what better than a Springer spaniel to be our cover star!💐🌟
This is Marley who was up in the area on holiday, he was admitted for tests as he was very unwell💉🔬. All the tests pointed towards a foreign body(blockage), which meant we had to admit him for emergency surgery. 🧑🏻‍⚕️🚨We found a medium sized stone stuck in his intestine, which lead to removing that part of the intestine (enterectomy).
... He took the next few days to recover and was doing amazingly well. He went home the weekend following! 🐶💓

The current outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) is causing uncertainty and concern. Many people have asked about whether or not our pets can contract the virus. There is currently no scientific evidence that pets can be infected with or spread COVID-19. Further information can be found in the latest information piece from the World Small Animal Veterinary Association - https://wsava.org/…/the-new-coronavirus -and-companion-anim…/
The most effective way for members of the public to protect themselves is through regular hand washing, and further information can be found on the World Health Organisation Website - https://www.who.int/…/novel-coronavirus -2…/advice-for-public
