Today we had a very handsome visitor for our Puppy Pre-School! Blue was having a blast meeting the nurses and having a good play in the practice. We loved having him visit 🐶
Our next Puppy Pre-School class will run on the 10th of February at 10am.

User

During the week we had these six beautiful pups in to visit us 🐶 Does anybody else have any cute puppies to show us? 💗

**Missing Cat**
Everyone this is Cleo, she is just over a year old. Cleo went missing in the Balloch area in July 2018. She is neutered, microchipped and has been reported as missing already. If you have any helpful information that will help reunite Cleo with her owner please contact Rosie Kean on 07709114358.

**Missing Cat***
This is Clover who has been missing since Friday evening (28.12.18). She went missing from the Dumbuck Crescent / Geils Avenue area of Dumbarton. She is a small brown tabby who is usually very vocal, quite friendly and responds to her name. Her most distinctive feature is that she has a short tail due to an accident when she was a kitten.
... Her owner is very worried, if you spot her or have seen her please call the practice on 01389 768278.

Do you plan to enter the new year with a bang? A plug-in pheromone adapter can help soothe cats and dogs if they are scared of fireworks, or nervous around crowds of people. Get them in early though as they take time to work!

Merry Christmas from Vets4Pets Dumbarton!
To all of our clients and your furry or scaly pets. :D

Tempting as it is to share your leftovers, watch out for any bones as these can splinter or become lodged in your pet's throat or intestinal tract.

Festive Awareness
If you're leaving a mince pie out for Santa on Christmas Eve make sure it's well out of reach of your pets. We don't want your dog or cat to get poorly and of course we don't want Santa to be disappointed!

Festive Awareness
If you're celebrating Christmas or New Year and have a social gathering planned, consider how socialised your dog is to new people and crowds. Before the event starts, tire them out by taking them for a long walk and provide a safe place for them to retreat to if the excitement or nerves becomes too much -... ensure they are used to this room in advance.

Chocolate, macadamia nuts, raisins, onions, grapes, sultanas and raisins and alcohol are all poisonous to animals (so keep that Christmas pudding out of reach!).

Pets are inquisitive by nature, and test many foreign objects by chewing them. This Christmas, ensure baubles, lights, tinsel and other decorations are out of reach of your furry friend to keep them healthy and happy.

Do you know some festive plants are poisonous to animals? Popular Christmas plants including holly and mistletoe, along with their berries, are toxic to pets if ingested. For more advice, visit the link below or speak to your vet.

User

Would like to thank you all for beautiful card I received it was so thoughtful and a lovely thing to do on passing of my dog Ben thank you all so much xx

User

Wonderful service here, not only for the animals, I had to bring my three young boys with me to drop our rabbit in. The girls on reception were wonderful with them, brought Frank out to let them see & gave them some pencils & paper to draw which kept them wonderfully quiet for a little while

User

We've been with a certain vet in Alexandria for years until a very bad experience last September. Our 'wee' dog Odin (Scottish Deerhound) and us are extremely pleased with the vets here. So far we have only met Emma and Stuart and they have been superb. Like others mentioned here - they genuinely care about you and your pets.

User

We switched vets shortly before our 5 year old lab was diagnosed with lymphoma, the staff have been amazing through all his chemotherapy and Ciara has gone over and above to make sure I know what's happening, despite me moving to Bristol for work. Highly recommend for the outstanding level of care and reasonable prices.

User

Thank you so much for your lovely card regarding your thoughts for our tortoise Tyrone .. we miss him loads he was a wonderful character who made us laugh with his little antics

User

Thank you so much for making our wee Esme better! Such a fantastic group of people and myself and my girls cannot thank you enough for your caring and lovely manner. Esme has so quickly became a member of our family and we love her to bits. It was easy leaving her in your care because straight away I knew she was in the best hands. Fantastic vets

User

Lovely staff! Cara helped myself through a really difficult time and stayed open so I could get my toddlers newly bought guinea pig in to the vet to be seen to. Couldn’t recommend herself and this practise enough! Thank you x

User

I would just like to take a moment to express what professional and personable staff the Dumbarton branch have, after loosing our lovely Mansell they treated us all, including Mansell with the upmost respect, and even transported him to the vet school in Glasgow to save us the upset in doing so ourselves, so I will definitely recommend this branch to anyone that has pets, and I will be using this branch for all my pets needs, thanks once again xxx

User

I was a bit sceptical about taking my dog to a vet of a big chain however the staff made it feel so personal. My dog Harvey had a full health check by the vet who was so friendly making him at ease. Thankyou I will be making this my permanent vets X

User

I have to say that having had dogs most of my life I have been to very many Vets all over the UK and without doubt these guys are the best I have come across. Caring Compassionate and above all they know their stuff can't recommend them enough

User

I had to make the heartbreaking decision to get one of my dogs (Harvey) put to sleep. The staff were so lovely and respectful. Gave me privacy to spend time with him before it. Stuart the vet was wonderful. He came in and spoke to me and explained the procedure. He was great and talked to me the whole time. Also offered me time to spend with my dog after it. Thank you

User

I couldn't have faulted the staff in this practice when my dog badly Injured his paw a few weeks ago and had to be rushed into surgery on an emergency! They couldn't have been more helpful and reassuring! He's now 100% back to his bouncing happy self and it's entirely down to the care of the vets here! Highly recommend them!

User

I cant fault this vet one bit. Stuart the vet is an absolute credit to the company. We were treated with so much compassion when we had to lose our wee cat Zak. We received a sympathy card signed by all the staff aswell which was just a lovely gesture. Thanks again for helping us through our hard time with wee Zak. You are all fantastic.

User

Had the heartbreaking task of putting my 12 year old Dalmatian Lola to sleep last week. Cara and the team were amazing from the start and ensured that myself and my son were ok at every step. Thank you so much for making a very difficult day much more bearable and for looking after Lola to the end xxxx

User

Had our very nervous cat get his first trim and nail cuts, he was so well behaved due to the staff being so calm and efficient. What a team. Took a few minutes and we got back a happy cat. Very good service from arranging the appointment and actually getting it done!

User

Great staff, great service and great location. So professional and thorough, really trust them with my boy. And even although not always pleasant for him, Murphy loves going as they're all so loving. Easy to get an appointment and fab hours round normal working day makes life so much easier. Thank you!

User

Could not fault the team at Vets4pets at all! Although we had to get our wee Chihuahua put down, the staff were so compassionate and so helpful at such a difficult and upsetting time. Would definitely recommended vets4pets to other pet owners

User

Can’t thank the staff here enough. Treated Sam like he was their own whenever he was there and when we lost our boy the staff were very caring and understanding took the time to make sure we were all ok with sympathy card sent out as well. Fantastic staff highly recommend.
