Super excited to be going to Cake International with Mama Drake's Cakes next week!

It's not cake or a bake, but this now has pride of place in the kitchen, only a year after getting the pattern 😂

I am a true believer in cake being cake. I like salad: I had an amazing quinoa/butternut squash/lentil/pea salad yesterday for lunch. But salad doesn't belong in cake! I'm sorry if you want me to make you a salad cake, I just won't do it!

This is because my day job have temporarily increased my hours so I need to allow time for booking annual leave! Apologies! 🌲 But if you would like a boozy Christmas cake, do get in touch asap. Vicky made our wedding cake. Not only did it look amazing after she spent hours painstakingly hand painting icing leaves to decorate it, but it tasted fantastic too with a different flavour for each layer. She even managed to transport it nearly 350 miles from Edinburgh to Herefordshire in perfect condition.

Vicky made our wedding cake (pictured in the cover photo) and it exceeded my expectations. She is lovely to work with, taking care to get everything just right. Sometimes cakes look amazing but taste average, not with Vicky's cakes, they also taste amazing. I would thoroughly recommend her!
