Village Hotel Aberdeen

My missus and myself really like the hotel here. Our last visit was for a coffee meeting at the Starbucks and we had dinner at the bar afterwards. I really like the open plan reception area with the coffee shop, bar and restaurant all accessible straight away. The staff on bar were pleasant and the food was very good and huge portions as well. Had a grand time for our second visit here.

Location was good for where I was working. Loads of parking, easy automated check-in. Comfortable bed, great shower. Breakfast was good, nice coffee. To check out I just had to dump my key card in the slot and my receipt was emailed to me by lunch time.

Room clean and nicely presented. Food in bar was very good . Burgers are outstanding. Loud music from the gym could be heard from bedroom. Breakfast was let down severely with the poorest standard of so called scrambled egg ever. Solid lumps of yellow rubber that were dry as a bone and could have bounced off the floor. Please get rid of the powdered scrambled egg and put on some real stuff, even if it had to be to order. Generally a pleasant stay but not s nice as when it first opened.

Really enjoyed staying at the hotel. Staff were extremely nice. Bed and pillows were really comfortable and food good. Will definitely stay on my next visit to Aberdeen. Also enjoyed the music just wished it lasted a bit longer.

Can't recommend this hotel enough. Had a great two-night stay here recently. Room was excellent, and facilities were top class. Also had full use of gym, pool and sauna which was first class. Staff were attentive and always on hand to offer assistance. Ate at the hotel restaurant twice for breakfast, which was also decent, from which a range of options were available. We had an fantastic stay and will definitely be back when we visit the area again.

Visiting the gym as a guest with my wife on Saturday morning during the family fun session. Facilities and cleanliness were excellent. Staff were very friendly. The only niggle was the lack of pool-toys you would expect for a family fun session. There was only one large floating mat that was well used. On enquiring if there was more we were told that the budget couldn't stretch to buy a new one. This is nonsense given how much my wife pays for her membership monthly.

I'm pretty sure I would have given it a 5* if it wasn't for one of the bar managers... but that's another story.

The rooms were very clean, bathrooms were nice and bed was comfortable... there was only 2 pillows on a double bed though, which I thought was strange but I was on my own so it worked.
The gym was awesome but £5 per day for access and pretty busy.
Great place to stay if at the maersk training center or one of the oil offices.

Stayed in a club room for two nights and had a great experience from arriving where the desk chap sorted our book in promptly and in friendly professional manner. Spa/pool staff were very helpful and we used the facilities each day. We had one evening meal which was good. Very well presented and reasonably priced and the waiting staff were excellent. Renata, a young Hungarian member of staff, was particularly good. A great manner and good at her role.

Lovely room, but paid for an upgrade so sort of expected it to be. Stayed one night and had dinner, service friendly at dinner but a bit slow. Food fine but nothing to write home about. Good sleep in a comfortable bed, and room was very clean. But surprised to miss weekday breakfast which ended at 0930. I wasn't working the next day and had misread the times thinking it was 1030 finish. My fault but still seems really early for a hotel with leisure facilities in particular.
