Village Steakhouse

When a quality 3 course meal costs £6.95, what's there not to like.
Had tasty lentil soup with a fresh crusty roll, a sizeable portion of roast pork with a delicious cider, honey and mustard sauce and a sizeable slice of chocolate fudge cake.
Would deffo go back for more!

Not a great Sunday roast. No point in charging a very cheap price and not actually serving a proper "roast meal" yes the roast beef and gravy was delicious, however the nice big Yorkshire pudding was overcooked and the veg were awful mushy and boring. There was half a roast potato, when I enquired if there were any more I was told it was due to the cheap price we only got "one each" but on reflection it was only half a potato! No one came and checked if our meals were any good at all, no one asked us if we would like any more drinks (this is how restaurants make money on cheap deals) The kids meals were not great either, burger was a bit burnt and chicken goujons tasted a bit odd. Neither kid would eat their dinner I'm not sure why. The apple crumble was ok but had a strange topping. Not great, it's a shame because it put me off coming back to try the full menu.

Amazing service, delicious food and cozy setting. Favourite meal of my trip to Scotland.

Ate here today my Sunday roast was lovely however I paid more for my daughters frozen excuse for a dinner. £5.50 for 2 slices of frozen pizza with chips is ridiculous. Child meal is free as long as 2 adults eating which is discriminating for us single parents, will not be returning in a hurry very disappointed

Love this place for a family meal and get together during the week.
They do a very reasonable pre theatre 2 or 3 course meal or pick from the main menu.
Just phone in advance as sometimes it can be busy at peak times mostly weekends.

The entrance and decor is not too inviting but the staff are very pleasant.
Steak was cooked more than I would have expected, veg and chips were fine.

Excellent value for money. Food lovely, large choice on menu, staff very friendly

Buyer Beware.
I was there for a meal with partner.
Was rushed through meal 3 courses plus bot wine(vinegar) from start to finish just over an hour.
Sent an email to bring to their attention and reply from a Derek Tonner don't know who he is was the most unprofessional reply I've ever saw.
He sent from a delboydeek address and laughed (hahaha) and put emoticons on it. Also stated that whatever review I put he would remove it anyway.

If this is they way they treat paying customers what they do to our food???
