Did you know the third Monday in January is supposed to be the most unhappy day of the year - which is why it is called Blue Monday. The first few weeks in January sometimes aren't great either, so we hope they went fast for you :-)

User

We hope the start of 2019 is going well. Many people like to start getting fit in January, so we thought we would let you know about some healthy curry options. Firstly, dishes such as Rogan Josh, Bhuna, Madras, Jalfrezi and Sags usually have less cream and have many healthy spices and vegetables. It's good to combine these with boiled rice or anything oven baked. Here is some information about our ingredients: - Chilli - Contain Vitamin A and C which are powerful antioxidan...ts, perfect for a post near year meal. - Cinnamon - Foods studies suggest it can help lower cholesterol levels - Cumin - Has a nutty, peppery flavour which makes it a popular ingredient, it also supports development of a healthy immune system - Cardamon - Considered to be a strong antiseptic and antimicrobial spice by herbalists - Turmeric - Aids digestion and boosts the immune system. So why not try a healthier curry this weekend, see you soon.

"Black Friday is an informal name for the day following Thanksgiving Day in the United States of America, which has been regarded as the beginning of the country's Christmas shopping season." In the last few years British shops have jumped onto the Black Friday bandwagon, offering special deals which were previously reserved for Boxing Day sales. Are you getting some great deals today, or ignoring it completely? What ever you do, why not save some time and enjoy a tasty meal from Vinyasa.

Today is Diwali also known as the "festival of lights". Diwali is an ancient Hindu festival celebrated in autumn every year. The festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair! In Britain, Hindus celebrate Diwali with great enthusiasm. People clean and decorate their homes with lamps and candles. People also give each other sweets such as laddoo and barfi, and the different communities may gather for a religious ceremony and get-together. Find out more about Diwali here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diwali

We were visiting edingburgh and came across this fabulous place great food the staff were lovely great service definitely coming back x

User

We visited Edinburgh for 3 nights for my fiance's birthday and ate here on the first night. The food was excellent, served promptly and staff were polite and attentive. The chef didn't mind altering the dish to suit my taste which was really appreciated. The second day the weather was terrible and with our hotel being across the road we decided to go again, 2 nights in a row and the same booth! Both nights were fabulous and we've already said that when we return to Edinburgh we have to go back. Thanks!

User

We had a memorable meal here. The food was delicious, attractively served, and the staff very attentive.

User

Was visiting my sister in Edinburgh and she told me about this restaurant glad she did . The food is the best I have had it was fantastic. The staff were great as well. The restaurant was so very very clean .in fact you could not find fault with anything. If you have not been here your missing out on enjoying the best curry ever.

Visited on Thursday evening on the recommendation of the hotel. A bonus was it was five minutes walk from the hotel and the Holyrood 9A pub which is excellent for an aperitif. Anyway we had popadoms and chutney tray first. Popadoms were fresh tasty and crispy. Starters were shish kebab and spicy chicken wings both of which were very tasty and excellent. Natural flavours and not over coloured with food flavourings. My other half had the hottest dish on the menu the Naga dish and I had a chicken lentil and lime dish which was accompanied by chapatis and plain rice. Both were full of flavour and not oily at all. To finish we had kulfi which wasn't fresh but it finished our meal off perfectly and all washed down with a bottle of the rose wine. We'd got a 10% discount card from the hotel and the bill for all of that came in at £58 which was excellent value! Not forgetting the staff who were lovely, just about the right amount of attention without being intrusive. A must try restaurant in my opinion and I've eaten curries all over the world!

User

Visited Sunday ( weekend before Xmas ) the restaurant was very handy for our hotel and as we both love a good curry it was the obvious choice !

Nice and clean inside, attentive staff and great service.

Food was FAB !

Madras was hot without being over powering. Nice sized portions and overall not a bad price, just over £50 for two with starters and sides with drinks :-)

We will be back ! ! !

User

Typical Indian restaurant. The staff were very polite, food was great but nothing extravagant. My husband had a hot chilli lover option which was extremely hot but very tasty 😋. I had the jalfrezi which was great too. The peshwari naan's are to die for!!!
